Woman's sister called 911 for help while pair argued in parking lot

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - A Texas A&M University student is dead after her ex-boyfriend shot her in the chest and then fatally shot himself in the parking lot of her apartment, police said.
Jacqueline Roquemore, 18, of Sugar Land, died shortly after arriving at the College Station Medical Center, Lt. Rodney Sigler said. Ms. Roquemore was a freshman education major, according to the school's Web site.
Police said Christopher Thomas Young, 23, shot her after an argument and then shot himself in the head. Mr. Young, a resident of Missouri City, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
College Station police were called to the Spring Heights Apartments at 12:48 p.m. Sunday by a woman reporting a disturbance in the parking lot.
A neighbor said the woman calling police was Ms. Roquemore's sister and roommate. While the woman was on the phone with dispatchers, a pair of shots rang out in the background.
Victor Allen, who lives across the street, said he ran over after he heard the shots.
When he arrived at the scene, Mr. Allen said he saw two bodies in the parking lot. He tried to help Ms. Roquemore's roommate talk to emergency responders.
"I saw a young lady run upstairs, and she was on the phone," he said in Monday's editions of The Bryan-College Station Eagle. "She was crying and was frantic. I took the phone and talked to the dispatcher."
Investigators said that Ms. Roquemore had recently ended a relationship with Mr. Young and that he drove into town Saturday night to try to contact her. Ms. Roquemore was not home when he arrived and did not return to her apartment until Sunday afternoon.
When Ms. Roquemore returned, Mr. Young confronted her in the parking lot and the pair began arguing, prompting the 911 call by her roommate, followed by the shooting, police said.
But here is yet another example for this woman to have had a handgun or shotgun available to keep Mr. Stalker at bay.

Could someone explain to me what part of the anatomy the, "parking lot," is?
Hank
That would be the posterior, but I don't get it, posterior wounds are rarely fatal. He must have blown it off.
