[history]
During renovation of its main office building, the California Department of Food and Agriculture will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to move top executives to an annex, displacing lower-level employees who will move to another downtown site.
The double move comes at a time when the state faces a nearly $35 billion deficit. The agency acknowledges that the move will be more expensive than moving its top officials elsewhere, but says it's important to keep the executive and administrative staffs close to the Capitol.

NO. The agency acknowledges that the move will be more expensive than moving its top officials elsewhere, but says it's important to keep the executive and administrative staffs close to the Capitol.
What's a few hundred thousand dollars anyway ;-? LOL

Put them all on unpaid leave durring the remodeling and they might even collect more taxes because their departments won't be able to issue new regulations or enforce the ones they have now and the businesses just might be able to make a profit!
Better yet just fire them all and eliminate the departments and sell the buildings!

"But in a time of a budget crisis, as the governor said, everyone should take a hit," Kenny said. "It's not a time to overspend because they are executives. It's not a time to get some extra treatment or be pampered."HAHAHAhahaha...!
The implication being, of course, that in normal times pampering and overspending on state bureaucrats is just fine and dandy.
Every time one of these scumbags opens his mouth, he steps deeper and deeper into the quicksand.

Just fire all of them. Give them 30 days pay and fire them.
Hopefully, the newspapers will be on top of these miss adventures by the elite fascists of Kalifornia as they try to continue if not elevate their life styles during this budget crisis.
Like the Cadillac, the lesbo queen from SF wanted as her drive around car.

Just one more example of a runamuck gang of drunken tax'n'spenders and how they operate.. Not really caring who has to pick up the tab.
