FBI Looking for Five Illegal Immigrants
The Associated Press
Sunday, December 29, 2002; 4:23 PM
WASHINGTON The FBI said Sunday it is looking for five men of Arab ancestry who may have entered the country illegally last week.
The agency said the five men are believed to have arrived in the United States on or before Christmas Eve.
The five men are: Abid Noraiz Ali, Iftikhar Khozmai Ali, Mustafa Khan Owasi, Adil Pervez and Akbar Jamal, all born between 1969 and 1983. The FBI warned that the names and birth dates may be false.
The FBI said it had no indication the men were linked to terrorist activities, but still wanted to question the five "based upon information developed in the course of ongoing investigations."
The FBI said it was working with the Customs, Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Transportation Security Agency to find the men.

Wonder how long they have been sitting on this information? Probably from the day they came in and were following them - but lost them? Maybe?

CNN is now saying "there is not much content to the press release".
They are showing photographs, and from the looks of these guys, they could pass for Hispanic.

Mustafa there is a real unibrow, isn't he? With that distinguishing feature, I bet he'll be the first to be captured.

Where's Tom Ridge,on Christmas break? What a country!!!!Hey, easy fella, things are fine and the "Christmas season" nationally has gone unscathed. I assume since you can run a computer that you were around during "Shlicks reign"! Can't you draw any distinct differences between the two reigns of power? :)

Because that would be racial profiling!
How dare our border guards harrass 5 Olive Skinned Arab men acting suspiciously as a group crossing the border near New Years Eve.. (sarcasm button on)

Whoops, now FOX reports that MAYBE the five were not travelling together. SOOOO, perhaps they entered at different points of entry? Who knows...sigh.

IMO, Looks like Al Qaeda is picking ghouls that could pass for Hispanic and giving them fake names.
Those 5 don't look like your typical Olive Skinned swarthy males at all..

The Feds reeeeeeeally want these guys.
To: csvset; Dog
With the changing face of this country, these guys may be hard to locate.
Now, FOX is also saying "it's a very long border"...so they are now saying there may have been a NUMBER of entry points.
Yes, Dog...it sounds very serious.

The FBI just happens to have photographs of the suspects, but they won't tell us:
1. The location of the border crossing. Was it Washington or was it New York?
2. The manner of crossing. Was it a car, truck, tank, flying carpet?
3. Why did they issue the alert 5 days after the suspicious border crossing?

And the Feds really want them in custody before New Years.
If they got in Christmas Eve, they could be just about anywhere by now..

My guess is that the Feds have figured out that if they can't find them after 5 days, time to get the public involved before New Years Eve..

Good point jimbo......how did the FBI get these five illegals photos??? YEH!
To: Dog
Thanks, Dog! Saw this on Fox. If we have their pictures, they were either on a watch list (ignored apparently by the Canadians and our INS) OR they were being watched and slipped over the border without going through a checkpoint (MILES of unwatched Canadian border..easy to do on Christmas Eve).
I think the fact that they haven't released where they came over indicates that we don't know...meaning they slipped over in unmonitored areas.
To: Dog
Does a person need a passport picture to cross from Canada to the U.S.? Maybe they copied the passport photos when they entered the US?
