I am sorry to hear this and wish the very best for Vets_Husband_and_Wife and we at the Head household will be praying for her recovery.
One thing is for certain. The good Lord uses all experiences to further His aims and Kingdom. Acts of faith and kindness and charity on behalf of another at times like these, and the faith, persistance, grit and determination of those afflicted with hardship, all make for examples to those around us that increase faith, love and good in the world.
Our prayers are that all of that and more will be applicable here and that our Father in Heaven will hear our prayers and comfort and heal Vets.
Nam Vet
I thank God that you were able to be home at Christmas. I praise Him for uniting so many in prayer for you here at FR.
Today is my first day off antibiotics since the 19th of December. I'm trying very hard to believe that this will be the end of this episode. I'm going to do everything humanly possible to "NOT" have surgery!!
For those who asked, I rec'd blood in 1980 at Madigan Army hospital. It was either then from a fellow Vet that I rec'd bad blood, or from cuts from instruements while serving in the Medical Field in the Air Force that I contracted Hepatitic C (then known as NonA/NonB). Either way, a fellow Veteran had to have infected me. I hold no ill will towards my brother or sister Vet. I worry about whoever had this and gave it to me. I pray for them. I pray for anyone suffering from, or carrying this illness.
Tainted Blood defintely infiltrated our military. 68 percent of Vietnam Vets are thought to carry the Hepatitis C Virus. For some of us, it wreaks havoc. It has caused me to have several complications due to the inflammatory process. My Polyneuropathy and other problems are said to be secondary to the HepC. (Some don't even know they carry the virus in their blood, but they NEED to know). I always encourage Vets to be tested. God Bless each and every one of them!!
I had a foot of my Descending Colon removed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester almost 5 years ago. I had hoped that was the end of the problem. It was quite a surprize to have another attack. The CAT Scan confirmed the disease has returned. This attack is being particularly stubborn!! (arghhhh). I didn't tell my elderly folks, or brothers (4) about the hosptilization. My sister knew, and my grown children, only a couple friends knew :o) as I didn't want to worry family and friends before the holiday. I pulled it off!!! Then I told my good friend Budge,..and BLESS his SWEET heart,.. he told all of you. AFter reading this thread.. I'm NOT sorry I did. There is so much POWER in PRAYERS and well wishes!!
Your prayers, the prayer chain requests, The Mass said on the 29th, the prayers so publicly prayed and your kind words are a healing balm to me.
Again, forgive this generic note to all of you.. your INDIVIDUAL words have meant the world to me. I hope I can get this PING to work right.. and forgive me if I ping you twice. I'm not the best at computers!!
I'd like to say I don't wish this illness or ill will on my worst enemies.. (yup.. even the Clintons) but I do think people who knowingly harm others should be held responsible!! I pray one day they will be held responsible, and I'm sure that one day they will be. If not on this earth,.. then ultimately they must face our maker. It just amazes me that people can do so much harm, and still be considered popular by so many!! We pray constantly that Americans are collectively waking up to people like the Clintons. It would do my heart good to never see them in the public arena ever again. To never see them portrayed as positive role models to our children and grandchildren. But I regress... :o) The reason for my post is to thank all of you for being so wonderful!!
Thanks again,.. and I'll keep you all posted as to my PROGRESS :o)
Btw,.. Vets Husband has been reading this thread too.. and the spouse does suffer when his wife is ill. I was blessed with an ANGEL for a husband. He appreciated your words and they give him strength also!!
Now.... I'm back on the recliner, feeling extremely cared about :o)
God Bless you all!!! Love, Mary Ann and Art
Your in our prayers.
