President Bush and First Lady Laura departed Camp David today for Crawford, Texas, where they will ring in the New Year. The First Couple will return to the White House the weekend after the holiday. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I have a friend who covers her tree with a sheet, moves it to the corner of the basement and hangs a sign on it that says: "The ghost of Christmas Past" In June she flips over the sign and it reads: "The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come!"

Another friend left her tree up until after Easter and hung eggs on it.

I've got great friends!

We have one of those at the school where I teach. He stands in the library and the librarian moves him around each day. It still catches me off guard when I walk by and see him out of the corner of my eye. I am thinking of taking pictures of him each day (she put a Santa hat on him during Christmas) and putting them on our school's website- a kind of "journey's with George" kind of thing.

Mo1 - How did I ever miss seeing that pic our our W with our own Phillie Phanatic!!! Is that precious????

I'm worried about our W and that smallpox vaccination. He looks tired - and not well. I'm praying it's just a bad cold, but I saw an interview with some volunteers who had the vaccination - a young girl in her 20's or so. She said she felt like crap about 5 days or so after the vaccination. And it lasted for days. She had a bad fever and terrrible flue like symptons etc. Not to mention all the other worries he has. I know God has a plan, but could he just ease up a teeny bit - We just need to pray even harder.

I've been feeling uneasy all day, hearing about the USS George Washington being told to be ready to sail again, and the Army troops being put on alert. And now the horrid North Koreans. Jeezz, I feel so worried. I'm gonna go back and read that Psalm again, Mtngrl. Hopefully that will give me some peace. Thanks for posting them
