Dork Har! That's better. I was worried about you for a minute. I only play Christmas music from Thanksgiving until early January. Do you play it other times of the year?
To: Pippin
I locked her in the cellar for the week.
She's obnoxious.
As usual.
To: Brad's Gramma
LOL!!!
Aren't you a bit hard on her?

OK, one more article and then I'm really going to bed!!
NOTE: Perhaps this is why the president seemed a little 'unsettled' today -- he is still 'on the job' while the rest of the family is sailing to the sunny Bahamas [Sidebar comment: I certainly hope they don't get ill from that highly 'suspicious' virus!]
Bush travels to Texas for holiday respite; family left for Bahama cruise
Thu Dec 26, 7:52 PM ET
CRAWFORD, Texas - From one secluded spot to another, President George W. Bush (news - web sites) left the mountainous Camp David presidential retreat to complete a two-week vacation at his ranch in Texas.
Carrying one of his dogs, Barney, the president made the short walk from Air Force One to Marine One at the Waco airport in Texas on Thursday.
His other dog, Spot, scampered at the president's feet while first lady Laura Bush walked hand in hand with her mother, Jenna Welch. Marine One flew the Bush crew to his ranch.
Bush, who spent Christmas at Camp David in Maryland with his family, did not speak to reporters about the standoffs with Iraq or North Korea (news - web sites). He plans to return to Washington the weekend after New Year's Day.
Meanwhile, Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, embarked on a three-night holiday cruise with another son, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and other family members, undeterred by the recent outbreak of stomach viruses that have sickened some cruise passengers.
About 2,500 other passengers joined about a dozen Bush family members including the former first lady, the governor's wife and their two sons for the cruise aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship.
President George W. Bush's daughters Jenna and Barbara were also listed on the ship's manifest.
The ship, which is about the length of three football fields and has 875 staterooms, was bound for the Bahamas under blue skies and an unusually chilly wind.
The cruise has stops in Nassau and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. The ship returns Sunday morning.

Every now & then it hits me, the mood for Christmas music, that is......and yep, I do play it.
When no one can catch me, of course.

"Second on the list is former President Jimmy Carter, who won the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this year. He was named by 9 percent of respondents." Everybody can play: Try to attribute this quote to the person who made it:
"Carter was just a peanut farmer, but Reagan was a man who came on the scene with a six-shooter, like a movie cowboy."

There are some interesting details in the book, particularly about the CIA. Since you have the book, go ahead and read it, but pay attention to a few things:
1. Woodward puts a lot of "thoughts" into people's heads. He explains his technique and justification for doing so, but the fact is that it is only conjecture for the most part.
2. He uses "thoughts" that are quite literary for Powell and others whose agenda he wishes to advance. For others, he quotes them verbatim, stammers, cusswords, and all.
3. The book is organized in such a way as give the impression, through style, that the administration is not organized. By jumping from meeting to meeting, place to place, with no transitions, and describing discussions in meetings in a disjointed manner, the uninformed reader is left with a far different impression than those of us who pay attention to current events.

Nope. Easy, actually.

I hope you had a very special and HAPPY birthday!!!!!!!

I can't believe that anyone would place Hillary above Laura. Clearly this poll is rigged.

Bulletin: Late movie review from two of my sisters.
Do not go see "Gangs of New York" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day Lewis. It is THE worst movie they have ever seen. Ultra-violent, makes no sense, historically inaccurate, and depressing.
One of my sisters just called and told me she is telling everyone to avoid it! She is really mad at how it has been hyped. The other sister is so mad she is writing a letter to (drumroll please) OPRAH! (Heheheh.)
I don't always agree with my sisters, but they are adamant that this is a BAD movie. Don't say you weren't warned!
To: Miss Marple
Thanks for the warning, I've already seen my movie for the year!
I highly recommend it!
Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers!
