Great response to post 18, dflan1973. I disagree with the policies of the various Democrats who are currently in place here in Washington. I could give a rip about their ethnic backgrounds.
The Trent Lott fiasco has -- ironically, I guess -- made me more outspoken about the poison of bigotry. I heard a talk radio guy here say, and I quote, "Just because all bigots are conservative does not mean all conservatives are bigots." He thought he was being supportive! He was surprised by callers who pointed out bigotry and racism can be found in both parties.
I hope 2003 is the year we Republicans lose any remnants of the shadow of racism. We are, at our best, the party of opportunity, and the only party that celebrates aspiration, excellence and achievement. That is what we should be known for. </end rant>

Regarding racism, the Republican Party is the party of Lincoln, who freed the slaves. You'll likely NEVER hear a Liberal 'RAT utter those words. The GOP has a MUCH better record of sincere inclusion. The 'RATS talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk. They [hillary most lately] accuse the GOP of being racists, but they are the racists. Liberal 'RATS continue on their "Divide Amerika" path.
