Well, that is, if you happen to have a marijuana patch in your back yard during the growing season and your neighbor finds out you are breaking the law.

Then, with 11 digits, he can give away your secret plot, and in turn, make away with cash for his effort.

Turn in your neighbors and your friends
They'll thank you for it in the end
'Cause while they're busy doing time
We'll wash out their brains and clean-up their minds.

The high percentage of THC in the marijuana explains why someone would want to live in New Jersey. The THC content must be even higher in Massachusetts.

p.s. One second everyone is bitching about Operation TIPS and now they're hailing this one. What is doing more good? Ratting out terrorists or your neghbor who sits on his front porch grinning and eating Nutty Bars?

It's the state toll-free tip line, and it offers reward money in exchange for valid tips. So far, there have been 11 rewards statewide since 1999 given to tip-line informants, ranging from $50 to $1,000.

Hey! I'll give 50 bucks to ANYONE who wants to point me to FREE POT!!! And if there is enough, I'll GLADLY pay up to 1000 bucks!!

How do I register one of these 800 number tip lines??

Send your neighbor who never did anything to you to rape camp for fun and profit.

Pot arrests have doubled since 91, hard drug arrests down 33%. Must not want to interfere with international free trade.

Since it's (sic) origins in 1992, the task force has seized 38,500 plants, with an average of about 2,500 a year.

Truth in media should require that after this they list an estimate of the number of marijuana plants NOT "seized" (such an active word for woods-snooping) by these amateur clowns, but then I guess you run into newsprint constraints writing such a fantastically large number more than once or twice.

We are winning, comrades! BTW, WTF is up with the "it's"? I teach 8th graders who would be sick with themselves to make such a simple, careless mistake.

"They also seized one indoor cultivation site which housed 14 plants. "

Does this mean they were able to take the property the dope was growing on? If so, and they are able to take a $100,000 house from the owner, the $1000 they are spending for tips is well worth their cash.

I wonder what a nosey neighbor's liability would be if he was mistaken in his tip. I mean, if I had something that looked like pot growing indoors & someone reported me, would I have recourse against him in the civil courts?

I'm just waiting for some clever biologist to splice a marijuana gene or two into some otherwise useless unstoppable plants like kudzow or purple loosestrife that grow wild everywhere and nobody can stop.

I have no use for marjuana, but will be delighted when those who want to enjoy something that hurts nobody else can do it without always looking over their shoulder for government thugs. If there is a foundation somewhere working on this little experiment I'd be glad to contribute. If nobody is working on it, we ought to get a campaign going.

The possibilities are endless. Can you imagine the revolution that would result from the following (seen on DRUDGE):

Scientists announced today the development of 20 new species of THC bearing plants, including asparagus, spinach, dandelions, collards, kudzo, corn (only leaves and silk contain THC) three kinds of grapes (with leaves very high in THC) sweetpotatoes (that should boost the economy of North Carolina) and purple loosestrife, as well as several wild and domestic (lawn type) grasses.

........developing!

Nice.

I'm glad we're nothing like the old Soviet Union who rewarded people for denouncing their neighbors, friends and relatives anonymously.

It's a good thing we've effectively abolished that pesky right of the accused to face their accusers. So inconvenient.

Here it is finally...everyone can profit from the destruction of our neighbors...

exerpt below

"...evidence of the large numbers of denunciations in these cases does point to a considerable degree of civilian involvement in Nazi policing. Further, the individual discussions he provides of several of the Gestapo cases he read show that at times "informing of this kind occurred within families" (p. 194) and also that "German-on-German denunciations took place among friends and acquaintances" (p. 197)....."

Cool! I can use this against all the people I don't like like liberal pols. Once accused it's hard to shake the perception of guilt.
