KARACHI (Reuters) - Relatives of Asif Ramzi, a Pakistani Islamic militant suspected of involvement in the murder of U.S. reporter Daniel Pearl, identified his body on Saturday among four mutilated corpses found in Karachi, police said.

Police say they suspect Ramzi, who was also wanted in connection with a series of bomb attacks in the volatile port city of Karachi, accidentally blew himself up while making bombs on Thursday.

"The wife and mother of Asif Ramzi visited the morgue on Saturday and recognized his body," Tariq Jameel, deputy inspector general of police, told Reuters.

Ramzi's relatives had also visited the morgue on Friday and initially denied that Ramzi's body was among the four corpses found in the rubble of the collapsed three-story building. "But today they requested a second visit," Jameel said. "They recognized the body through marks on his foot and torso."

Pearl, South Asia bureau chief of the Wall Street Journal, was kidnapped and murdered in Karachi while researching a story on Islamic militants in Pakistan, against the backdrop of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.

It's amazing how many terrorist leaders and thugs (including the suspected Pearl killer) are lately shuffling off this mortal coil through "accidents", even in countries the U.S. can't "officially" go into.

A lot of human debris is being picked off in covert operations, one by one, in the middle east, Pakistan and Afghanistan. This sure looks like one of these "accident" jobs to me. Hooray for our special Special Forces and Intelligence operatives who stealthily and bravely seek out and dispose of Islam murderers wherever they are hiding by whatever means it takes.

Yeah, I am waiting to read the headline.

" Number three man for Osma Bin Laden fell backwards 36 times onto a kitchen knife in a bizzar culinary accident..."

or committed suicide by shooting himself 5 times in the head. Or however many times abu nidal managed to shoot himself before he finally died.
