On one side was a snaggle-toothed, balding white guy with a Confederate hat, and behind him was a Sonny Perdue billboard... also with a Confederate flag...

On the other side of the flyer was a pleasant-looking, middle-class black family with the sloagan
"If they win, We lose..."
I had a very small part in the Civil Rights struggle around here, nearly 30 years ago, and all I can say is that kind of bigoted, race-baiting absolutely disgusted me.
I wouldn't change anything I did in the past if I could, but it has made me very reluctant to even think about any further consessions. Why bother, or even try?

Why? Because what's right is right and when you stand in front of God you can do so without hiding your face. Recognize that the root of this evil isn't the people you helped, it's power hungry liberals. They'll MAKE one race hate another as long as it gets them their votes.
