With each ping, I state that if anyone wants to be removed to just click a link that sends me a freepmail. Good grief - it requires two clicks to be taken off the Foxhole list. How hard is that?
Seems to me that this requires me to read the post, which I don't if the subject doesn't interest me.
My suggestion, since we have vanities popping up all the time, is that when a ping list is started a vanity post reading "ATTENTION: Do you want to be on my ping list regarding so-and-so?" might work. Bump it a couple of times. The vanity police might howl, but I think it would be an easier and politer way to go.
