Only ONE Major Party Censures It's Members For Unwise Race Comments
Posted on 12/20/2002 9:37:03 AM PST by GrinFranklin
Democrats don't censure their members for unwise race comments. They have the leader 4th in succession to the Presidency as a former KKK member who still uses the n word. And when the Democrats were in a lather about blaming a visitor from Texas for the confederate flag in SC, they overlooked the current Democratic Senator who STARTED flying it when he was governor in SC. And Democrats just shrugged when Democratic Black "leader" Jesse Jackson used the "Hymietown" word...even letting him come out and criticize Lott. And now we find that Kerry's "sense of humor" can be at the expense of Italians.
Again...only one major party now actually censures it's own members for unwise race comments.
TOPICS: News/Current Events; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: bigotry; lott; race
Minorities in America will start to figure out that the Democrats are only talk.

Lott wasn't Censured. He resigned his leadership post. He did the noble thing. Don't call it something it was not. And don't expect democrats to follow suit.

Only one party controls the major media. It's a slam dunk for putting a lid on "righteous indignation".

Good point. Anytime dems start talking about race they need to be reminded that they aren't serious about it because they won't demand that those who make foolish comments step aside. Republicans need to remind them of this until they puke. :)

Being held to a lower standard has not helped Democrats. Beyond their buddies in the media, what has it done for them? The American people don't trust democtars and everyone sees them as "manipulative teacher's pets" - kind of the Eddie Haskell's of the political world.
There's nothing to envy.

Republicans still wear red coats, walk in a line and stand up to fire their rifles.....nuff said.

Add in Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamonte (sp?) of California.
He used the N-word at some gathering that included a lot of African-Americans.
The African-American was mightily offended for a few hours...
until they came to their senses and remembered that Cruz is a Democrat.
I suppose that he is a "person of color" (Hispanic) didn't hurt either.
Only whites can be racist.
(and they re-elected him to another term in November, I think...)
