The Racist Card is Alive and Well in America Against Republicans Because they did not take a stand

The more this gets played out, no one was going to give a damn about the racist card again. It would of been a finished issue in American Politics. One that will never again be able to be used by the rats AGAINST REPUBLICANS.

Clintons statements about the south went way over the top and the american people heard and saw it for what it is and what he and the democrats stand for, Nothing more than race baiters and racist themselves that want to keep blacks down and mad at white people and start a race war in America.

We can end racist as a issue now if we republicans and conservatives take a stand.

That is why this is playing on and on. Its the rats last chance and they know it. If they lose this one issue they have no base they have nothing. Democrat Rats will be finished.

Instead the GOP did not support Lott and backstabbed him over and over. Now they want to elect to the Senate leadership an abortion supporter. Its a sad day in America for conservatives.

In the end Lott is still going to be called a racist by the left and with this win by the left it will go on and on.

Good call for understanding what is really involved with the dynamics of the attack on Trent Lott. However that incredible walking turd, Mr. Lott, brought the wrath of the Rats down on himself. If a DEMOCRAT calls them "N", it is easily forgiven, because they are butt-buddies! The Republicans need to walk on egg shells when it comes to the race issue. We need to dump Lott, and put up with any consequences. The notion that Sen. Bird offended blacks and got away with it is no answer to this problem. Once again they ate one of their own.

According to foxnews a few minutes ago, a insider poll was taken which says that unless republicrats gain minority voters (to the tune of at least 3,000,000 especially latino voters), bush will not be re-elected in 2004. Now I understand why he wants to give amnesty to 3,000,000 illegal lawbreakers. Politics as usual and the beat goes on.

I agree with your general premise, TLB, but don't think this was the proper case to allow us to beat back the Democrat race machine.

Lott's support among many conservatives, myself included, was weak to begin with due to his frequent capitulations to the rats on so many fronts. The alleged "racist" remarks allowed politically disaffected conservatives the opportunity to express their desire to be rid of Lott. And they did, quite vocally, using his comments at Strom Thurmond's birthday bash as cover for their scheme. Unfortunately, this played right into the real racists hands. The democrat destruction machine - yes, the one Clinton said didn't exist - kicked into high gear and Lott was toast.

To be honest, I won't miss him. Someday we will have a better case that will allow us to seriously damage the race-baiting infrastructure. This wasn't it.

Please don't say that he took these issues from the dems, because if you use that argument, you are saying dupliciy is acceptable when your guys do it, but, bad when the other guy's guys do it. If you use that argument then you are no better then the clinton's apologists who defended the indefensible.
