About 94,000 beneficiaries living abroad have been brought into the system by the 20 existing international agreements. A Mexican agreement alone could bring in 162,000 in the first five years.
I had assumed that people living abroad and receiving SS were American citizens. Do any Americans who worked abroad receive similar pensions from foriegn governments? Or are these all one-way treaties, like the rest of the recent ones?
Lott backs use of troops to protect U.S. borders
Do you think our "leaders" will make Trent Lott apologize to Vicente Fox as long as he's groveling?
Yeah...an opportunity to bleed the American taxpayers dry! KEEP EM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bush better not let us down on this one.....
I'd be happy if they gave him the booby prize.
Actually, if they are paying SS then they should be entitled to the benefits.
Trent Lott has been MIA on Illegals for years. His O'Reilly comment about troops on the border (the worst idea on the table) was just blowing smoke, his office said that no legislation was planned.
Lott has been hung out to dry by no one but himself.
