I don't understand where you get that from. There will be a Bush in 2004, if only for the reason war on terror, iraq, etc. Lott is expendable. And I cannot understand why you have brought up everything and everyone in your argument in this thread. This is about Trent Lott and his spontaneous responses to please others. I can understand his explanation of having grown up in the environment that he did. But the man is too old and has been a politiician far too long to make such a stupid blunder. Just like the old saying, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Whether Lott stays or goes, he is a marked man, just like Clinton.
