The 'black vote' empowered the hijacked ,left, progressive, democrats. The black democrats think the Clintonian Demokratic party gives a rats @ss about them. This, I call a mess and is the only 'mess' I think Lott could have been referring to.
I think Lott should just blatently fess up and say he is 100% against segregation but the train of thought he was having making his prior statement was POLITICALLY predjudiced against the black progressive leftist communistic caucus in which the Clinton's have made of the VERY HARD LEFT, democratic party.
If he makes these statements the democrats have to shut up and then the leftist communists in the media and politics and Hollywood can scream how right winger he is. THEN he is only guilty of being an extremist right winger not 'a racist'. And then with class he can then say that he will 'consult with his fellow republicans, and see if any voting considerations are at hand for the ML role- And make clear he will remain in the senate.
Then the dems will be back in the spotlight (where they belong) as they have NO ISSUES but to bash and call names) and deal with the judicial nominees and other pertinent issues they can no longer try to stop.
His first one was a "F you if what I said upset you" written from his vacation in Florida. He phoned in the next two, which were both "some of my best friends are Negroes." It took the b*tchslapping by Bush to get him on the air (smiling in a disingenuous way) stating that segregation is evil, and it looked like it pained him greatly to say it. Too late for Lott.
