Millions of lives are lost every year to diseases like malaria, yellow fever, and dengue because of this irresponsible pseudo-science.
The fact is DDT is completely harmless to humans and the environment. It is a great danger to those insects that sicken and kill humans and all mammals. It is time to tell all the cowardly politicians, including the current batch, who are clamoring for us to do more to help the diseased in third-world nations, so long as they do not act to remove the ban from DDT they are a bunch of pusillanimous liars.
DDT is safe: just ask the professor who ate it for 40 years.
Thirtieth Anniversary of Misguided Ban on DDT

Oh, I absolutely agree (and I should have said " termite control in addition to mosquito control."). Certainly, the blood of those dead from malaria should haunt the souls of the eco-fanatics, but then those nutcases think of humans as cancer cells. The termite question is "mere" property loss by comparison, but to those who lose a family home that has been in the family for generations, it "is" a significant loss.
