I had tentative plans of going up to the Kali/Oregon border to fish the Chetco and Smith Rivers this coming week. I will not be doing that. They are getting hammered up there.

The Smith was probably fishable for about two hours. It's gotta look like a chocolate milkshake by now.

It had been closed for low flows. Yesterday afternoon the Fish Game Gods reopened it to fishing above the estuary.

Now it is only open to those trying to earn a Darwin award. :)
