I talked to my sister in Soquel today and her rain gauge ran over at 6.5 inches in 36 hours. Eureka has not had half the rain you and GD have had but we have had plenty. The digital reader board on tv says we have had 5 inches this month but I think that is short

I still have 5 chain saws ever though I sold my acreage on The Klamath 10 years ago. I was the high bidder on a 10 yard dump truck load of madrone logs at a fund raiser for Rob Brown in Oct but the logger hasen't delivered yet because the weather has been good enough to log until this week.

I'm back. We just had a very close lightning strike. Sitting at 9.6 inches for the storm now.

Santa Cruz County has enormously variable weather both seasonally and by location. The record minimum rainfall for Watsonville in 1975-76 was 8.49"; the record maximum was in Boulder Creek in 1889-90: 124.7".
