The spot markets aren't too worried about Iraq or Venezuela

Why would that be? The oil market, so we've been told, worries about everything.

...a few thoughts:

.....I've never understood the enviros position on Alaska oil and gas....I've never been to Alaska, but in Texas and Louisiana I've shot ducks, netted shrimp and caught fish and crab til my arms got tired....all within sight of working oil rigs....so the enviros will have a hard time convincing me that oil and gas production screws up the wildlife.....as a matter of fact, some fish actually like to hang around off shore rigs; they like the structure it gives them.

......the first stock I ever owned was a company called Cuban-Venezuela Oil Co....about six months after I bought it Castro marched into Havanna and went Commie.....it was a painful lesson in oil and geo-politics.....I still got those old shares up in the attic somewhere....ought to get 'em out....use 'em to stuff the holes in my shoes...keep the snow out this winter.

....Anybody been catching Emma on Squawk Box?...Whew!! this girl is cute as a button....Maria the Money Honey had better watch her back...
