"Commercial enterprise" is a fairly broad term. You could concieveably lump Girl Scout Cookies, Car Washes and bake sales (among other things) in with the pornographers.

I think the mooks that run ASU and IU simply have their noses out of joint because the filming of these classics of the modern spankoriffic genre reinforce the notion that these are party schools as opposed to institutions of higher learning.

IU should be more ashamed of brooming Bobby Knight than a few "caught on tape" hummers

We may the the last generation with that sense of discretion. Porn is at the cutting edge of Internet person-to-person narrowcasting media. Cam girls are killing television.

Sex not only sells, sex is the engine of creation of whole new categories of communication and entertainment.

I don't understand the hysteria! The college students are no angels. They take drugs on campus, they drink illegally, and they have sex, right on MTV in the spring breaks! What is the big deal? The whole freaking society has been debased slowly but surely.

If you and I can help influence things, let us do it! Other wise, let us not became so surprised, why a twenty years old student is acting in a porn movie. If you visit a strip club, you would be surprised to know that most of the strippers, who are doing the lap dancing, are college students.

You have that 100% correct. Sex made the internet what it is today. CD-ROMs became popular, primarily because the first medium available on CD-ROMs was porn. Same thing with VHS/Beta tapes. When porn could be rented and taken home, every home needed a VCR. I remember the CES shows in Vegas back in the 80's. Apple demo'd the Mac with the first CD-ROM; and nearby a porn studio was showing how the CD-ROM could not only catch the 'action' but also various 'angles'.

Say there was no porn company involved and I and some other students decided to get together one night in my room and make a porno. Whats the problem? There is no difference between that and a porn company being involved. And if campus officals think what I described above is not happening on their campi, then they are sadley mistaken, idiots, or willingly ignoring reality.

How would you feel about your daughter going to college and taking part in this?

If I, as a consenting adult agree to perform in a porn movie that is my business. And if I agree to have it filmed in my residence that is also my business. Even if it is a dorm room on a university campus.

It is not your business Alone at all. Tax payer dollars are being used in roundabout ways in this case and it is such a travesty to portray this as a guise of "It's my right!"

It is not "YOUR RIGHT" to be irresponsible toward the rest of society where harm might befall others and children might view selfish smuttiness!

This effects aspects of our society that surely has absolutely no value and immensely degrades. It is purely selfish, and perverting. Whether or not YOU have "your business" to do whatever you please that does not mean that irresponsible behavor is an entilement to a path of sick inconsiderance.

Our declaration gives citizens rights along with the creator that are to be used with responsiblity and reverence.

I find it interesting that a school would object so strenously about a sex flick; but if the students made a psycho slasher nothing would be said. It's ok to show throats being slit, brains splattered, dismemberment, decapitation, bullet wounds and stabbings on film; but a BJ? That's obscene....

Assuming she is willing, an adult, and knew that it was being filmed, I'd be angry with her. But, I do not want a 'nanny' goverment; and respecting her as an adult, she (and she alone) is responsible for her actions. Not the school, not you, nor I.

Don't get me wrong, I do not condone alot of the weird $hit that's on the internet but I don't have a problem with this. If one see's this on the internet or on video, that person was looking for it. Now occasionally you might get some spam but it doesn't happen often. My point is if they don't like it, they don't have to be involved or watch it. When I see things like this I think of Porky's 2 where the staff finds the XXX rated movies and the Principals say's & I quote "We sat through and watched this film thoroughly, twice to make sure it was pornography."

SOLUTION: LOTS more HOMEWORK is needed. LOTS. And, the pulling of any scholarships or federal funding loans to these students.

Yeah, but c'mon...some of these porn lesbians are HOT!!.

There are a lot of disturbing things kids might see. Personally, I'm hoping my daughter never has to live through the horror of seeing a fat guy in a Speedo. I think that would leave more scars than seeing some porn.

On the topic of reverence, believe me, if I had a shot at bagging a hot 20 year old coed, I treat her with PLENTY of reverence...

I'm sure P.L. would feel just like the rest of us would, SICK at our stomach & disappointed. But it wouldn't change the fact that she made the choice to do it and she'll have to live with the consequences regardless of what we thought.

When YOU see things like this you think of a MOVIE??!! When I see things like this I think of the short and long term implications for these idiot young adults, and for society as a whole.

I think you have confused the US Counstitution and Bill of Rights with the ruling documents of the Taliban. Adult sex is not illegal, filming same is not illegal, nor is selling it. If you do not like it, tough.... don't buy it. However, you have no authority to inflict your morality upon everyone else.

They all claim to be college students, but I wonder how many strippers really go to class?

I think I'll apply for a grant from the Department of Education to do some research. In order to ensure accurate answers, I should talk to these women when they're in the most comfortable setting possible. Like on my lap....

I will agree that I think that these people are stupid at age 20-25 letting complete strangers make movies of them having sex, they will regret it. No doubt in my mind, but it's their choice. By the way Porky's is not a Porno movie, just in case you didn't know.
