Ms. Landrieu also criticized Ms. Terrell for relying on out-of-state Republicans including the president to tout the challenger.
It seems to me that Ron Kirk, the 'RAT loser in the Texas Senate race said the same thing, hmmmm?....

"My best relationship is with Louisiana elected officials," she said. Then why have Greg Tarver and Don Cravins both refused to endorse, or campaign for her?

Let's return Landrieu to Louisiana where she can become a lobbyist to her beloved locally elected officials.
Gotta run, time to go to the polls to pull the Suzie Terrell lever!

(Vanity) Had one taped phone call from GW Bush, and 3 from the Landrieu campaign. LOL...too late Landrieu, I voted for Terrell.

Didn't remember you are a cajun. Not many people at the polls where I voted (9:30am). Praying with you.

I just came in from work and went and voted....there was exceptional turnout at my precinct...99.9% white ... young and old alike made up the crowd...i got there at 10:30 and had to stand in line for about 15 min...people still coming in as i was leaving...I went to the next closest polling place and it seemed to be pretty busy as well...90% white district.

Good luck over in LA today.... Keep us posted on any observations, media reports that you hear during the day. I suspect later on they'll be talking about turnout around the state. Is anyone doing any exit polling that you know of? I thought maybe LSU may do some, but never saw anything about it.

Already voted, Steve. Now, let's pray.Pray some, call some.
Much of my moms family is in the Lafayette area and because of that and working in the oilfield, I know the area well. I've been supplied with a list of likely voters / hunters in that area and I've been calling them from Houston since last night.
Thank goodness for free long distance/weekend minutes on my cell phone!! ;-)

If Orleans Parish doesn't go overboard with turnout then Suzie hopefully will be the winner. Orleans gave Mary almost 95,000 votes in Nov. to some 31,000 or so to the other candidates.... Maybe Maxine, Donna and the Black Caucus won't have that great of impact.

Voted at 9 am,,huge turnout and more than half were men. All white, one black couple looking pretty prosperous. I never saw the polliing place that crowded even in the last election. The turnout looks very high in white prosperous areas to me. SATs are being given today in the same school so the parking lot was mobbed, for a moment I thought it was all voters but it wasn't. This precinct is heavily republican. And BTW the unions may not turn out for Mary, she used non union labor on her manse in DC.

Just got back from voting. The place where I vote has a large black rural population. When I got there, it was nearly deserted.

I heard on Special Report last night that all panelists agreed that Brown Roots needed a record turnout of black voters to win. The only way I see blacks coming out in record numbers is if Landrieu ran against David Duke(Ugh!).
Then I bet FreeRepublic would become Landrieu's biggest ally against Duke.

Thanks, Steve....Good to hear from you. I hope and believe that Suzie Terell will win, but am nervous, because I remember how optimistic we were 6 years ago with Woody. If we do our part and ask the Lord to do the rest, that's all we can do. God bless you....I am sure you have done all you can.
