According to the Washington Times, President Bush runs three miles several times a week and lifts weights.

And here are those Presidential legs to prove it:

"Usually I run six days a week. When I dont run, I use an Elliptical trainer, lift weights and stretch. But when I run, I run hard. On Sundays if Im at Camp David, Ill go for a hard, morning runthese days about 20:30 to 20:45 for 3 miles on a tough courseand then Ill go walk 2 to 4 miles with Laura afterward." - George W. Bush

HAHAHAHA!
Yep. He runs at least three miles a day, as many as 4 times a week. He also lifts weights, drinks lots of water and (tries) to eat healthy. I say tries because he has a weakness for Cheetos. Don't we all!

Here's another quote from the Washington Post article on August 22, 2002 that others may find interesting concerning the President's physical fitness:
"Earlier this month, his annual physical showed the 6-foot, 189-pound president had a resting heart rate of 44 beats per minute, which puts him in the range of elite marathoners. He had 14.5 percent body fat."
Arguably the most physically fit president in American history in my humble opinion. I'll wager he has been responsible for some weight loss among some Secret Service agents too! Actually, this probably is a source of comfort for the Secret Service to know they now have a fit POTUS that can react swiftly if required (God forbid).

LOL! Love that shot, annie!
15% body fat, resting heartrate of 42. An athlete, pure and simple.
He even has a treadmill on Air Force 1 so he can exercise there! (after he eats his Cheetos, I suppose!)

Here's an article you might be interested in from
Runner's World.
A complete interview with the President by Bob Wischnia is in the October issue. It's great......analyzes his running style and gives him tips on how to improve his times.
