Number Seven, I believe very strongly that we ought to support Israel; that she has a right to the land. This is the most important reason: Because God said so.

Bogus reason...And one which will keep the Middle East the cess pool of violence for eternity. Different people have different Religions. That's why we have the "Freedom of Religion" in the United States Constitution. It's funny how all the fundies forget that little fact when it suits their needs.

But then again, I believe the fundies are pushing this line of thinking just to bring about what they call Armageddon. Unfortunately, the rest of the world is going to have to pay for THEIR religious beliefs. Ironic how the fundies are the first to call Islam a "Gutter Religion" isn't it?

What do you mean "going to have to pay for their religious beliefs." As an American tax payer I help to subsidize every man, women and child in Israel. As an upper income peron I give more than most. It's bad enough what the Israelis are doing in the occupied lands - but why should I have to help pay the cost?

It's true enough that there are many religions in the world, it's also true that followers of "..imposters such as Mahommet." have been denied protection under the first ammendment "freedom of religion" since 1892. In fact, the ruling also goes on to say that these religions "are to be harassed."

It shakes up a few people to see that, but it looks like it's the law of the land.
