BTW, I am not a RINO, never been a DemocRAT, am anti-abortion, and the like but I still probably don't meet your description of a conservative because I don't run around the Country claiming the sky is falling if President Bush appoints someone who is not anti-abortion to a position that has nothing to do with abortion.

By Polycrap's logic, we should believe that Bill Clinton is a pro-lifer since he appointed an anti-abortion man [Boston Mayor Raymond Flynn?] to be the ambassador to the Vatican.

As much as I am opposed to the gay agenda, I couldn't believe the wasted breath and political capital that was spent by Jesse Helms to attempt to deny James Hormel an ambassadorship to Luxembourg because he's a homosexual.

LUXEMBOURG! Can you believe it? Who cares? Get him on a plane and wave him bye-bye!

In addition, I detest the architects of explicit sex education, and was horrified by the "Fistgate" scandal in Massachusetts, but when Mass. Governor Cellucci -- who ignored evidence about the incident until the word got out in the news -- was chosen as ambassador to Canada, this is what I said when people were assailing Rush for not mentioning it on his show:

I am not a homophobe, and I was incensed about the "Fistgate" incident itself. However, getting hot and bothered about Cellucci becoming ambassador to Canada was a waste of time and energy. There ain't nothing that Cellucci could do to aid in the corruption of America's youth from Ottawa.

So, when was the last time we heard about Hormel? When was the last time we thought about Cellucci?

I am not enthused about Kissinger, but that's for reasons closer to Christopher Hitchens' than Polycarp's!
