PRESIDENT BUSH SURPRISES PRO-LIFE LEADERS BY SELECTING KISSINGER FOR 9-11 POST
Kissinger Strongly Implicated in Population Control and Abortion
WASHINGTON, November 29, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) - U.S. President George W. Bush announced Wednesday that he had selected former secretary of state Henry Kissinger as chairman of a new independent commission to investigate the September 11 attacks. Pro-life leaders were surprised by the selection given the President's aversion to coercive abortion and Kissinger's close association with it.
President Bush was praised by the pro-life community internationally for his defunding of the United Nations Population Fund due to their association with the forced abortion and coercive sterilization practices in China. However, Kissinger was intimately associated with coercive population control as he is the author of the now-declassified national security study memorandum calling for population control - coercive if necessary, in the third world.
Gilles Grondin, a veteran United Nations diplomat and past President of Le Mouvement en faveur de la Vie/Campaign Quebec Vie, (the pro-life movement in Quebec), told LifeSite that he was surprised by President Bush's selection of Kissinger. Grondin, who with his vast UN experience has been one of the most successful pro-life lobbyists at the UN, points out that Kissinger's memo NSSM 200 formed the basis of U.S. foreign policy in the area of population.
Grondin explained that the Memorandum suggested that competition from new world powers would rise when developing nations had sufficient populations to utilize their national resources to their full potential. Thus, NSSM 200 was about ensuring U.S. strategic, economic, and military interest, at the expense of developing countries, by proposing population control including by coercive means if mere propaganda could not succeed.

"My, the world is now in much better shape than it was in prior to the widespread acceptance of birth control (sarcasm off).
stand2reason responded:
Wait a sec. Now I've heard that the reason for the crumbling of Western Civilization was prayer being taken out of schools. So which is right?
Both of the things listed above have had negative impact on society and the family. IMHO, birth control has contributed greatly to breakdown of the family structure and contributed to lessening of the value of human life by society.
Taking prayer out of schools has led us down a path of moral relativism that has helped create the mess our education system is in today.
The Catholic Church supports birth control. It's called Natural Family Planning. I'm sure you know what it is.
Is it artificial birth control you have a problem with, or limiting births, period?
As Dean Wormer said:"No more fun of ANY kind!!"
I bet they turn off the lights, too. Pathetic, petty tyrants.
Is it artificial birth control you have a problem with, or limiting births, period? Good point, Sinkspur. It is indeed artificial birth control I am speaking of.
"birth control has contributed greatly to breakdown of the family structure and contributed to lessening of the value of human life by society."
APBaer responded:
Fewer unwanted children/or bastards is bad?
Nope, fewer unwanted children/or bastards would be a good thing. However, I believe the best way to avoid having such children is to not have pre-marital sex, and practice Natural Family Planning after marriage.
I don't know if you're Christian or not, so Christian arguements might not hold any sway with you or be useful in the discussion, but prior to the early 1900's EVERY major Christian denomination taught the artificial birth control was sinful and destructive.
Some folks need to get a salient fact through their overly-preachy skulls...NOT ALL PEOPLE FOLLOW THEIR RELIGION THE WAY THEY DO!!!. It is absolute arrogance in the extreme to expect someone to bow down to YOUR interpretation of a religion in all things, ESPECIALLY when some of your outbursts conflict with the LEADER of your religion.
Maybe, just maybe, if they quit their endless SPAMMING and PREACHING like wannabe Jim Bakkers, and recognized that there is a great deal of variety of viewpoints WITHIN the conservative canon, they might merit something besides ridicule.
From what I have seen on this thread, though, they are but whining fools, steeped in inflammatory rhetoric and slurs, one step removed from the Nazis they so like to compare others to.
I honestly believe that they DO NOT wish to actually WIN. That way, they can bray their brimstone (and collect yet more donations from their faithful suckers) unto eternity.
Now we have them claiming that BIRTH CONTROL, of all things, is responsible for Black Tuesday! That AMERICA herself sowed the seeds of her own brutal assault. Sorry, Altar Boys, but that's stupid on the order of "she asked for it", and is outright anti-Americanism. Nice job, now Bin Laden can include THAT one on his next video, and the skinwasters on the protest marches can use it, too.
They need to seek professional help, immediately. Their rhetoric adds NOTHING to any sane debate, and is completely unworthy of any response, save those pointing out the ludicrousness of them.
From where I sit, only the "cause" seems to change. The fanatacism, the continuous rhetoric, the slash-and-burn tactics of bullying insteasd of persuasion, the emotion instead of reason, all looks entirely too familiar.
Very well stated. Like you I am getting tired of phrases about "true Christian" -- just what does that mean? This birth control issue really grinds me -- they would prefer to bring unwanted children into the world then practice artificial birth control? That makes no sense! I guess this all goes along with the rhetoric about who can be a "true conservative" which I detest as much as the "true Christian" rhetoric and consider it insulting! Some of these people want to be judge and jury of the rest of us and determine who is the "true" anything really are going way over the top!
...backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful, who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
