Chaos in Arizona -- Send in the militia

By: Jim Moore -- 11/29/02

In case the President and his entourage of political sidekicks haven't read the Constitution lately, I call their attention to several parts of it that are especially relevant for our times.

From the U.S. Constitution, Section 8: "Congress shall have power to-provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections, and repel invasions."

And from the Bill of Rights, Article II:"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed"

And from Article IV: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated."

Now, it seems to me, that even 200 years ago, our wise Founders were well aware of the dangers that would face a nation, any nation, especially a young nation. And although they obviously couldn't pinpoint what those dangers might be, they did their best to cover the possible contingencies.

In this Thanksgiving season, we might thank God that they did, because just such a contingency has arisen in the Southwest part of the country that, if not dealt with by our government, will in all probability be handled by the citizens themselves. Which, I submit, will also, according to the Constitution, be a lawful action, however unlawful they may be told it is.

I refer to the chaos taking place on Arizona's border with Mexico.

For some years now, the U.S. Border Patrol has not effectively controlled our borders with Mexico. Clinton, both Bushes, and Congress have all assured President Fox of Mexico that we will NOT close our borders to illegal aliens invading us.

Arizona's Cochise County alone shares 82 miles of border with Mexico. Mostly ranches. The invasion of these American ranches by Mexican illegals runs the gamut of criminal chaos. They slaughter livestock, tear down fences, contaminate water supplies, drain livestock cisterns, break into ranch homes, beat, loot, and rape American citizens, while both governments look the other way.

Tired of this no-win situation, and fighting for their lives, some Arizona citizens have formed militias that detain illegals invading the country and turn them over to the authorities. Even so, in most cases, the U.S. Border Patrols turns them loose to roam the state, even the country, at will.

To make matters even more galling, democratic socialists are demanding that the federal government "investigate" these citizens militias-as if THEY are the criminals for trying to protect their lives and property!

Given that the democratic socialists don't recognize that the Citizen's Militia is authorized and defended by the Constitution---they don't even recognize the Constitution-- it's understandable why they want the government to investigate militias.

Even so, it's inconceivable that American citizens (which I presume they are) wouldn't demand the government do just the opposite: investigate the invasion of our borders by illegal aliens and the crimes they commit once they get here. That alone would eliminate the need for militias.

So what can YOU do to help your Arizona neighbors? You can vote your support for the local Arizona citizen militia---made up of farmers and ranchers in the invaded areas---by e-mailing the Arizona Daily Star for more details and on-line voting procedure--and acting on it!

Then, this Thanksgiving, you can sit back in relative safety and thank the Lord you don't live in a state that borders on Mexico.

The only thing left to decide upon is the terms of our surrender and how the Southwest will be tranfered to Mexico. I kid not.

Moore, if you're going to quote the Consitution, get your citations right. What you refer to as Articles II & IV are actually AMENDMENTS to the original Articles.

Plus, I doubt the Border Patrol is letting them go. That is one of the hardest working thankless jobs in the fedgov. They are simply outnumbered, but do their best.

Anyone know how Simcox's efforts to raise a militia are going? Does he have more than 100 volunteers, yet?

Have the liberal press and the threats from the liberal politicians stiffled his recruiting efforts?

thank the Lord you don't live in a state that borders on Mexico.

Just about every state borders on Mexico now, figuratively speaking. Of course, the southern border states have to take the brunt of it.

Welcome to the United States of Amerimexico, Amexico, Americo, what works best here?

Arizona Star "StarNet Poll"

A Tombstone weekly newspaper publisher recently called for the formation of a citizen militia to combat illegal immigration. What's your opinion?

NATO's mission was successfully completed with the collapse of the old Soviet Union.
There is no longer any need for us to have troops stationed in Europe after 60 years.
It's time to bring them home to defend our southern border from invasion.

95% in favor of a militia keeping the illegal moochers out.

Don't leave their RINO allies like Hull and Bush.

Thanks for the link!
After 6512 votes, it's 94% in favor and 5% opposed. If this runs like the internet polls from KGUN9 and KOLD Channel 13, we'll see the numbers flip-flop just before airtime/presstime!

I'd say Hull and Bush fall into the liberal category. They sure aren't conservative.

The problem I always have with these opinion polls is what good they really do if the very politicians who advocate looking the other way on the illegals situation or even encourage the breaking of the law by those entering our country illegally keep getting elected and then re-elected to public office time after time with impunity and staffing the bureaucracies with like minded bureaucrats.

So much for opinion polls.

It is an implicit insult that I am asked to give up my nail clippers while both ends of the country are effectively open to terrorists.

And Who knows what's in their Email.. Or what movies they are renting... Oh my, OH MY!

Someone just rented "The Patriot" Situation critical! (whoop, whoop!)
