A minor nit-pick, here. It's really irritating when someone posts without any indication as to what location they're talking about. At the very least the full title of the newspaper source is in order.
For example, when I post stuff from my own locale, Houston, I always say "Houston Chronicle," not simply "The Chronicle."
I skimmed through this but was unable to determine where you're talking about this happening. "Clarion-Ledger" is the name shared by several newspapers that I can recollect.

This is the same problem that we encounter on the road when MOST radio stations give only their call letters and not their city of location.

I get a tad annoyed when I can't immediately see what state or location a story is dealing with, but this one had this passage:
The state's Republican leadership including U.S. Sens. Trent Lott and Thad Cochran and U.S. Reps. Chip Pickering and Roger Wicker is expected to be in Jackson to endorse Tuck when she announces the party switch at the 2 p.m. news conference, Capitol Hill sources confirmed.
....and it was pretty easy to figure out from there.

"Clarion-Ledger" is the name shared by several newspapers that I can recollect. I understand your point. If their are other newspapers called the Clarion-Ledger, then the Clarion-Ledger in Jackson,Miss is by far the largest. It is the largest newspaper in the state.

I know. too many folks assume that we all live in the same neighborhood and read the Barney Fife News.

Sorry about that. I thought the location was obvious from the article, but maybe I'm to close to the situation to notice. The article was from the Jackson, MS Clarion-Ledger and Amy Tuck is the current Lt. Governor of Mississippi. She is up for re-election next November.

Boy you beat me to it. I know a guy named Tuck but he ain't got enough sense to pour pi** out of a boot, much less change party to Republican so I had to strike him off my list of likely suspects but then I was at a total loss.

THANK YOU!!! I often get so frustrated when someone
posts political "breaking news" such as this......and
assumes everyone knows who and where they are talking
about. PLEASE.....always tell us the state, etc. Sure
would be appreciated.
