? Keyword being "sane" of course. Hopefully not. Actually, and some may differ with me on this -- It's not so much a President Gore that would be the problem - I believe a President has so many obligations both domestic and otherwise that they are forced by default to make pretty much the 'same' decisions on some of the key issues. At least, I hope so anyway.
But the people he surrounds himself with - there's no question the President has surrounded himself with some VERY capable people, and for that, I am thankful. I'm considerably less confident a President Gore would have done the same.
For some reason I'm reminded of those who criticise the President for his mispronunciation of the word "Nuclear"; the elite cognoscenti apparently find a straight talking, honest human being to be somehow grating on them, he's not an "intellectual" or one of them, I suppose.
Good!
I just read some sort of philosophical masturbatory B.S. with the former Vice President talking about "post-modernism" and "Zeitgeist"; Puh-leeeze. And he thinks the media is "republican"; I got news for ya pal.
The President drives a pickup, chops wood, etc. Can't find any fault with that. Has a beautiful wife and family, the First Lady brings a decided and necessary dignity to the White House as it deserves. Anybody who eschews the use of "Zeitgeist" and pronounces Nuclear "Nukular" is OK with me. I'm not anti-intellectual, but I've got no use for a sophist in the White House.
Al Gore sitting in the Oval Office would initiate spontaneous combustion, resulting in burning down the White House.
Even the Rats are glad Gore wasn't in office when 911 hit.
