Wal-Mart illegally drives small stores out of businesses by selling goods at a loss for as long as it takes to kill off the competition. Then they raise their prices. I know this for a fact because a friend of mine worked as a pharmacist for WalMart and he was told he would be fired if he showed a profit until the local pharmacy was put out of business.
Get all the cheap Chinese stuff you want at WalMart and wait a few years till America loses the ability to make anything useful. We'll all be wearing coolie hats and riding bicycles then. This is not about capitalism at work -this is all about destroying our country and culture.

I know that . A small village outside of Buffalo refused them a zonimg permit. The people voted against it..They have a charming "main street" with a small 5 and 10 cent store..a throwback to the 50's..they did not want to loose it, so the townspeople voted to drive 25 min to the nearest Wal Mart. I would have voted with them

Yeah, no kidding. I can't believe all the people here defending Walmart?!

I can find plenty of places to buy what I need at the price I can afford. I have boycotted Walmart since they built the first one where I used to live. The first time I ever visited a Walmart was on the "first of the month". Marilyn Manson could of filmed a video in that store :(

Havoc: Where I used to live, the "new, upscale Walmart" was a victim of a steal and return scam. I found out about it from my teenage daughter. Seems Walmart employees are so dimwitted, they see the same people come in and return merchandise with no slip for cash, and they just take the stuff back; they just don't care if their company gets ripped off...(it was my girl's best friend's little sister pulling this crap, btw)

"Wal-Mart illegally drives small stores out of businesses by selling goods at a loss for as long as it takes to kill off the competition."

There's a law making it illegal for a privately-owned business to sell their merchandise at whatever price they wish to sell it?

Could you please post it?

"This is not about capitalism at work -this is all about destroying our country and culture."

Two things, the word "capitalism" was coined by Karl Marx, it was meant as a derogatory name for our economic system.

Capitalism (to use your and Marx's word) IS the American culture.
