Freeper Gets Bill From Planned Parenthood for $77,000!!!
This came in the U.S. Mail | November 27, 2002 | Saundra Duffy

How would you like to go to your mail box and receive a legal document that says you owe Planned Parenthood $77,000? As some of you may recall, three of us plaintiffs sued Planned Parenthood with the hope we could force them to tell the truth about the link between abortion and breast cancer. Go to www.AbortionBreastCancer.com for more info about the ABC Link. The press release announcing the lawsuit is below. Legal expertise for our case was provided by Thomas More Law Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The first round was lost by us and the Judge ordered us three poor women to pay PP legal fees, hence this disgusting "bill" from Planned Parenthood. Good news is that our attorneys are appealing. That's where we are now. Here's the news release about the lawsuit:

Women's Group Lauds Abortion-Breast Cancer Suit Against Planned Parenthood August 17, 2001

The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer announced that a lawsuit was filed yesterday in a San Diego court by three California women against Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its affiliate, Planned Parenthood of San Diego and Riverside Counties. The suit accuses Planned Parenthood of having mislead women about the safety of abortion. Research published over nearly a half of a century has linked the procedure with increased breast cancer risk. The incidence of breast cancer among American women has climbed 40% in the last quarter of a century since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion. The incidence of all other cancers has declined in the U.S. over the same period.

The plaintiffs, Agnes Bernardo of Chula Vista, Pamela Colip of Loma Linda, and Sandra Duffy-Hawkins of Sacramento, are not demanding monetary damages, but they are demanding Planned Parenthood to provide women with accurate information about the overwhelming evidence that abortion raises breast cancer risk. The plaintiffs are represented by the Thomas More Law Center located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A 1996 review and meta-analysis of the studies found that induced abortion raises a woman’s breast cancer risk by 30%. The leading author of that paper written in collaboration with scientists from Penn State College of Medicine, Professor Joel Brind of Baruch College of the City University of New York, has written extensively about an ongoing effort by scientists to cover-up the research. [Brind et al. (1996) J Epidemiol Community Health 50:481-96]

In the only study specifically commissioned by the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Janet Daling and her colleagues at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center reported that “Among women who had been pregnant at least once, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion was 50% higher than among other women.” [Daling et al. (1994) J Natl Cancer Inst 86:1584-92]

The only statistically significant prospective study (one based on medical records, not interviews and which, therefore, rules out any possibility of recall bias) was conducted in New York and found a 90% increased risk. [Howe et al. (1989) Int J Epidemiol 18:300-4]

The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer provides a wealth of information about the research, public policy and women’s legal rights at www.abortionbreastcancer.com.

Karen Malec, president of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer, reported that “Twenty-eight out of 37 studies published since 1957 have associated this elective surgical procedure with breast cancer. We applaud the efforts of the Thomas More Law Center to assist women. Women have a right to make fully informed decisions concerning their own health. If a women are denied crucial information about the risks of a procedure, can it really be said that a choice ever belonged to them? Accurate information about the research has been censored by Planned Parenthood and its supporters since abortion was legalized in the U.S. nearly three decades ago. It was censored by the same people who ardently professed that they cared about women’s health. Planned Parenthood’s greed will cost women their lives and devastate families. This is a travesty of justice.”

The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer is an international women’s organization founded to protect the health and save the lives of women by educating and providing information on abortion as a risk factor for breast cancer.

I came in late on this discussion but that bill is nothing more than an offer of contract so let them know that you're rejecting their offer of contract. If there is no contract there is no case!

It would be nice to send it back and say its payed with the blood and terror of all the children they have murdered and womans lives they have destroyed and that it wasnt payed in full but just an installment....

Yes, it would be nice. I have to keep telling myself that God will make things right one way or another and in His time. It's just so sad. And I want to HURRY GOD UP which I know is a ridiculous concept. Come quickly, Lord Jesus! How's that?

Roe vs. Wade truly is the continuation of Dred Scott.

Those folks think smoking is safe with statistics that are much more convincing than this

If this characterization is a reflection of your honesty, perhaps you should join the Planned Parenthood staff.

I have seen all those threads and would be pleased if you could identify a single post that states or suggests that smoking is "safe".

If there is no contract there is no case!

The paper said something about a "lien" but since I have nothing for them to "lien" upon, I just FAX'd a copy to Thomas More lawyers. Haven't heard anything back from them yet. Maybe it's a moot point because of the appeal. Anyhoo, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over the money judgment. What I lose sleep over is all the women who are needlessly subjected to developing breast cancer because Planned Parenthood IS LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH!!! And I'm losing sleep over the innocent unborn babes ripped apart because of Planned Parenthood's greed and evil!

But thank you for initiating the requirement that the abortion mills warn their customers that there may be two people killed with each abortion.

You're welcome. Thanks to all of you FReepers for your concern and prayers. I love you all!!! For victory & freedom!!!

According to STOP Planned Parenthood, PP gets $363 million annually in federal tax dollars. Irate freepers need to focus their attention on defunding this evil corporate welfare queen. If we want to do battle with America's #1 killer of unborn babies, a good first step would be to stop giving it our tax dollars.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/613796/posts

"Opponents of abortion and government waste are demanding that Congress pull the plug on the millions of dollars Planned Parenthood receives from the federal government. Foes of Planned Parenthood believe the money the organization receives from federal, state and local governments is unnecessary because of the millions of dollars Planned Parenthood is able to raise on its own. Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP) and Concerned Women for America (CWA) claim Planned Parenthood uses the $363 million it receives annually from the federal government on programs that promote teen sexual activity."

Connsidering the comment (it's not really a statistical relatinship without more study and actual numbers) between Marin County (CA) extremely breast cancer rates (but almost no polution nor manufactoring/pollution/nor industrial causes!) and higher-than-nomral abortion rates ....

I wonder if there's any sudy done indicating high "inner city)/poor women's breast cancer rates and THEIR probably higher-normal-abortion rates? (After all, free "abortion for the poor" is the calling card for decades of federal funding efforts by the abortion industry.)

It would make sense that the combination of extreme financial pressure (pressure not to have a baby) and easy-availablity of abortion and no stigma-attached would lead to higher-than-normal abortion rates in the poorest communities.

Then again - I might be all wet. Until the recent welfare reform changes, having a baby was also a status symbol and a lunch ticket to get more welfare dollars ... so there may equally have been pressure NOT to abort a poor child.

I came here because of a cool "ZOT" by the admin moderator.

Aren't activist judges fun?.If you want an additional reason to be outraged, go to www.glennbeck.com and learn of Terri Shiavo.

The unborn are not the only ones at risk by people and courts who do not value life.

It will be OVER MY DEAD BODY that I give one red cent of my precious hard-earned $ to the likes of Planned Parenthood. I'd rather go to jail and I'm not kidding! (But I don't believe it's going to come to that.) For victory & freedom!!!

It's probably a notice of lien and there are ways to see if it's real or just a scare tactic. Hopefully, a lawyer will be able to help but their mission typically is to be a third party intervener or debt collector with primary allegiance to the court. Be prepared to stand your ground and reject any future paperwork from a PP attorney (third party debt collector) and/or PP which is nothing more than a souless coporate fiction that has no jurisdiction over you...a living, breathing child of God WITH A SOUL.

The abortion industry fights any kind of record-keeping at every turn. I'd like to see a registry of women who have had abortions - a place where these women can record their experiences. God knows, there is no real record-keeping going on now. Many times, women use fictitious names and never come back for follow-up. God only knows the suffering, shame and horror of the aftermath of abortion. Just think of all the women who are already DEAD from breast cancer and no one even knows they had an abortion. I know of one such case. This is so sad and sickening. In America - we have to fight for the truth and the "powers that be" suppress the truth. Talk about your big business scandal!!! Planned Parenthood is nothing but one of those evil giant business empires. PP - GO TO HELL!!!

Hey don't forget about a biased liberal judge.

It is not necessarily the advocate or the case.

I dunno - maybe because you live in a world which you have divided up into a set of rigid ideologies with fanatic devotion, and are easily misled by incompetent activists.

"Rigid ideologies," huh? You mean like not concealing the deadly danger of a common medical procedure because of political correctness?

Just ignore him. Chancellor Palpatine's purpose on FR is apparently to be an anti-Catholic bigot as patent has already stated.

You ARE a wealthy woman.
