BATON ROUGE - As Republicans rejoiced over President George W. Bush's coming to Louisiana four days before the Dec. 7 runoff, Democrats were awaiting former President Bill Clinton's decision whether to come to Louisiana for Saturday's Bayou Classic football game between Grambling State and Southern universities.

Oh come on Bill...you know you can't resist - the snap of flashbulbs, the click of the camera shutter, the lights on the podium, a well-prepped audience hanging on your every word waiting to applaud. Plus you can get hammered and play your sax down in New Orleans, maybe pick up a few brainless co-eds from Tulane.
You know you want to Bill.
Regards, Ivan

Both campaigns were talking about a new independent poll to be broadcast on selected television stations tonight. The poll, conducted by Southern Media and Opinion Research, shows Landrieu with a 16-point lead.
Da Spin Machine is cranked up and firing on all eight........ Talk about push polls and people thought push polls were for use with a pirogue....

Maybe they can get him a date with the cheerleaders?

I'm reminded of the Far Side cartoon where the dog hides and prays behind the door while a "cat fud" sign leads tabby into a trap... "Please, oh, pleeeeeeaaaase..."

Don't insult a fine Louisiana college by telling Sick Willy to hit on the co-eds.(Even if it's Tulane.) Sick Willy can go to Ole Miss(the Berkley of Dixie) for even more clueless co-eds.

c'mon Bill...lots of mardi gras girls willing to take their top off for you Would it be tacky of Bill to bring a stack of beads to a Landrieu campaign rally? Would he care?

Clinton is recording telephone messages that will be targeted at Louisiana's black voters through the robocall system.
The calls appear to be directly from the person.
What kind of subretarded imbecile can't tell the difference between a telemarketing tape and a real call?
Oh, reporter. Never mind.

Maybe Mary can use this to boost her sagging poll numbers.

"And that's with 85 percent of the black vote going to Mary," said U.S. Sen. John Breaux, D-Crowley, who noted on election day Landrieu will get 95 percent. This statement confirms that Breaux is merely your typical left-wing DemocRat, who, thanks to the liberal media and Republicans who should know better, masquerades as a middle-of-the road centrist.
Hopefully black Louisiana voters will stay home and punish the Rats.

Not sure which poll that was. There haven't been many out and none recently that I've seen.
