I always said that if it were compulsory for every adult in the USA to listen to Rush for five days, the the political debate would not be between liberals and conservatives, it would be between those who work (or have worked) and those who refuse to work. It would be that simple.

I think the progressive community has to face the reality, especially about talk radio and talk TV, and perhaps put together our own TV shows. Isn't ABCNNBCBS sufficient?

I think the progressive Marxist / Socialist / Communist community has to face the reality, especially about talk radio and talk TV, and perhaps put together our own TV shows." Oh, please do. Spend the time and money. There's a reason why every single attempt at a 'liberal' talk radio show has been a failure.

"You add up all those niches and it reaches a lot of people. I think the progressive community has to face the reality, especially about talk radio and talk TV, and perhaps put together our own TV shows." And they don't have any control over the spin. And they don't have someone trying to kill the old folks, poison the water and starve babies. And they cannot control the truth about "progressives". This crowd is fun to watch.

Was that the day right after Tiny Tommy's "fit" or the day after that with the FR doctored photo of of Rush dangling baby Tommy over the balcony? I'm sure it was Thurs. 11/21.

Here, in Illinois, we tried to elect a decent senator but wound up with Dick.

.....it would be between those who work (or have worked) and those who refuse to work. It would be that simple. And the Democrats would continue to cater to "those who refuse to work".

Rush's parody of the Tom Daschle radio show a few days ago! Try to listen to that, sweetliberty, it was absolutely hysterical. Then at the end of "Daschle's radio show," there was this little song, saying something about "it seems like the hour-long show lasted for a year" or something like that. How did that go, Vinnie?

I remember some years back there was Jim Hightower former agriculture commissioneer, who had a weekly talk show. What a pathetic time waster he was. And he was the best the liberals have ever had. With him and his ilk to draw from we will not be bothered by liberal talk shows.
To: jackbill
And only Fox News has had the guts to mention that when Daschle was saying this he had a poster behind him that was titled "Republican Obstructionism"! Someone e-mailed Hannity, pointing that out to him. He read the e-mail over the air that day, and laughed, pretty hard, saying he hadn't noticed that...he was going to find it and put it on the air that night.

"Niches." Yeah, I love that too. Let's hope they keep on believing that citizens who appreciate the truth are just a "niche" demographic!

Another amazing undercurrent in the political landscape that has not fully been recognized is the power of right wing blogs. Some like Instapundit, Andrew Sullivan, Rachel Lucas, and Blogs of War are so popular they are getting thousands of hits a day. The VRWC is expressing itself in all the right ways and we are being heard, Amen!

"Conservatives understand that so many Americans want their news when they want it and the way they want it. Conservatives are better marketers. They use all the tools of mass marketing better than liberals," said Michael Parks, director of the School of Journalism at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication.Sorry, this phenomenon is totally consumer driven, required no marketing at all. Eight years of Clinton lies caused a craving for what conservatives have to say. The main stream media better figure this out or they will be bludgeoned. Simple supply and demand, something we shouldn't expect the socialist dems to understand.

Why are the Dims complaining? The internet and radio media are the most democratized formum for conveying opinions and information. Expressing yourself is no where near as tough as cracking into the AP or getting invited to a fair segment on ABCNBCCBSCNNMSNBC.

It's no wonder at all. Wasn't it in Illinois where the dead first began to vote?

Here is the new Demo talking point catch phrase
"A loose-knit network of conservative media voices"
Replaces Hillary's "Vast right wing conspiracy"
Same blather, different day.

Now that you mention it, I believe you are correct.

I've been greatly impressed with the incisiveness, wit, and acute obeservations of many, many writers on the web, and the blogs seem to be carrying this tradition even further.

Echo chamber? Not enough power for me! How about a boomerang (sp?) We see something good and sling it out there where other like minded people see it!. How cool is that?
