President Bush ended his European trip today with speeches in Lithuania and Romania. Bush was greeted in both places with large crowds of people, including estimates in Romania of 50,000 plus. And in what can only be called an emotional and uplifting moment, the crowds in Romania were treated to a rainbow as the President spoke. Bush responded with 'God is smiling on us.' The First Couple arrived back in Washington late this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Did anyone else see the great Fresno freep thread tonight. It was great. I am 5'-11" and around 245lbs, middle linebacker material, and that post just about had me in tears tonight. OK I'm holding back, it did have me in tears. Not the alpha male weepy kind of tears, but the star spangled banner kind. Oh man, they really socked it to a bunch of leftist liberals today/tonight. It's Jim Robinson's stomping grounds, and so it is for several other honorable freepers. I'll see if I can find the post/thread.

While in Lithuania, the President received that nation's highest civilian award (that star-shaped thingy), making him the first US President to receive such an award WOW .. that is cool ..
Thanks for letting me know

Yes, Bill Sammon is the Author and I will admit that there was times while reading that book that I choked up. Especially the part when George W. Bush was meeting with the families of the victims of the World Trade Center. When Sammon described the scene where the little kid broke into tears and fell into Dubya's arms was too much for me. I'm a softy when it comes to little kids with broken hearts.
To read stories about what a compassionate man GWB is makes me proud to call him my President. I said long ago here on this thread that GWB will be a great President, Possibly even better than my personal hero "Ronald Wilson Reagan". I challenge any conservative who loves Ronald Reagan as I do to compare George W. Bush's first two years to Ronald Reagans. If GWB continues defying his critics like he has been, We might be witnessing a history making presedency that will be campared with the best who ever served this republic

I completely agree.
That was my favorite part of the book too!!!! For more details about that, and a photo of him hugging that little boy--the "9/11 The President's Story" that was on TLC had tons on that. It was amazing--they spent probably a couple of minutes on that episode. The photo of W holding that little boy and the look on W's face is heartbreaking. W looks like his heart is going to break.
I love our president. And I also think that he will be one of the greatest president's ever.
