Niether did Maria McKee or Exene Cervenka.

God has blessed Maria Mckee with about the best set of pipes that has bestowed a human being. I have a Lone Justice album and her first solo album in my collection and they do get occasionally brought out.

Madonna, who can't sing her way out of a paper bag is a millionaire... Maria Mckee is mostly unknown. Go figure.

Maria Mckee and Lone Justice were about 13 years ahead of their time. Too bad. I don't think there's a song of theirs that I don't like. I hear a lot of her influence in today's music.

And Maria's first two solo albums were unbelievable.

Saw her in Ventura, CA about 10 years ago. David Grey opened for her. Great discovery he was for me.

Someone in Country recorded one of Maria's songs. So maybe she got some residuals. Or whatever the music business calls it.

THat was a good first album. But I never listen to any of that music any longer.
