Take out the papers and the trash
Or you don't get no spendin' cash
If you don't scrub that kitchen floor
You ain't gonna rock and roll no more
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

I guess it dates me, but I remember when all of these were first released.

It was a kinder, gentler time.

Your point is well taken. What a tragedy.

Thanks for the pic, Pappy.

He had to belong to two unions the AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists) and The Musicians Union. There has to be insurance money. That's why they paid union dues. What gives?

Guy's girlfriend of more than 30 years, Vanessa Van Klyde, can't claim the body because they were not married.
I think that a probate court would recognize their relationship as a common law marriage, if push came to shove.

Jerry Copija, the mortuary's director, said Guy's sister from Los Angeles came forward Monday but lacked the money to claim the body.
What is he, a hostage?

It is a shame that someone who gave so much enjoyment in his life thru music, has to die this way.

So many of these guys end up with nothing. Just wait till all of the Van Halen wannabe bands of the 80's hit their 60s. If they make it that long.

Pardon me, but if the law won't allow Van Klyde to claim the body but she has the money to do so, and his sister doesn't have the money but has the legal right...
*sigh* Our society is so messed up at times.

Many of these early groups were ripped off by record companies. This would be a time for Jesse Jackson to step up. Unless Freepers want to send $2.00 each to the funeral director? I remember the waitress in New York stiffed by Hillary got some tips from us. Did anyone ever say how much she was tipped by mail?

I'm not for sure I'd be too worried about this. I remember well that the Coasters were habitually very late for play dates. They would show up sometimes 2 or 3 hours late.
