which party is blue?
To: Texas_Jarhead
GOP candidate Kevin Mannix is blue; DemocRAT candidate Kulongoski is (appropriately) red.

Thanks for this map. We have exactly the same problem in Kalifonicator Land.
LA and its 7 million illegal aliens voters, San Jose, San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento counties went big time for Herr Davis. The rest of the state went for Simon.
Also, if there is going to be any illegal voting going on it has to be in areas like Portland, LA and San Francisco.
This pattern is being done in several states with the key metro areas being solid rat and the rest moderate to conservative.
To: Grampa Dave
BTW, the dark red county is, of course, Multnomah, which is where Portland is.
The two dark pink counties (Lane, Benton) are home to University of Oregon and Oregon State University.

Yeah, I don't get why the north coast tends to vote for DemocRATS. Hood River county, I understand. They've got windsurfers and illegal aliens. But Clatsop County? Columbia?

Does anyone else not see this as a failure of the GOP not reaching into the cities for support?

Eugene and Corvallis are like visiting an old communist country with the hostile students and anti American professors. Humboldt county is like that in Kali with Humboldt U. the home of Earth First thugs and thousands of enviralists.
To: JoeMomma
Well, I don't know...remember, Sen. Smith won election by a 16-point margin, and got over 40% (I think) even in Multnomah County.
Note that Kulongoski couldn't even win the suburban counties (Washington and Clackamas) or Marion County.

Actually the coast of Oregon is like two worlds. The bottom two counties are great, and when we travel and visit those two counties we love the people and have a great time.
Then when you get into the Newport Area and head north, you start running into the socialists, communists and anti Americans. The area is beautiful, but the people make me feel uncomfortable. This map says why!
To: Grampa Dave
I agree with your description of my
alma mater (HSU). :-)
I only survived the five years by living in Eureka instead of Arcata.

Yeah, but there isn't anyone in Baker county. I used to live in Portland. Eastern Oregon is beautiful, but the population is next to nothing.

And Cornvally, don't let the Beavs of the hook on this one. There was a big Lesbian colony up there in the early 90s.

I haven't been there in a while, so I didn't want to say is. They seemed to like 1920s Bungalows near down town. Drawn to the Tongue and Groove woodwork no doubt. I'm sure they're all Beaver fans.

That is like blaming GW for not reaching out to Iraq, Iran and Syria for support.
These goron voting cities are filled with the scum of America. They are result of the worse of liberalism over 4 to 5 decades. They are the Bad Seed of America.
Old man Darwin is the only one capable of handling these scum bags. Their life styles of drugs, homosexual sex, homosexual partnerships, abortion and preparing their non aborted children to be fresh meat for the predators has taken a large toll on these people. If they had not opened their doors to the illegal aliens, we would be out voting them as their population dropped the past 5-10 years due to their self inflicted genocide/life styles. Many of the illegal aliens will be come conservatives. As PooBah has noted, "Crabgrass and property taxes have created more conservatives than the republicans have!"
It will take about 5-10 years for old Man Darwin to get these inner city cess pool populations down to where we can outvote them. By then they will be like the Donner Party, looking at each other and asking "Whose for lunch!" In 20 years they will be history.
Then we can reach out!
To: B Knotts; tubebender
Tube Bender lives in Eureka and thanks to the left wing maggot fishwrap, the HSU grads, dropouts, wanna bees now control the city council of Eureka.
I have seen this coming for a couple of years. My internal left wing BS detector warning system has kept me out of Eureka due to more of the HSU influence. I don't like to even eat lunch there let alone shop there on our trips to the Oregon coast.
