You are right about the skin grafts. The Orthopaedic Surgeon said he'd call the hand doctor and give the ok for surgery now. We're going to call him also to get a schedule going.

Dad's been waking up with the pain in his shoulder blade, and I'm thinking that should begin to subside soon. The neck brace may actually have contributed to that in regards to restricting how he had to sleep/lay down. I should know soon as Dad should be getting up very shortly.

That's true. I had to wear one many years ago and by actually constricting the use of your neck muscles, you are forced to use others in a rather awkward way. That could very well be the source of his pain.
