When has CBS begun to take into consideration what people think anyway?

calling it a "soft-core porn infomercial."

Have these people even seen soft core porn? They are apparently not Skinemax subscribers.

"What purpose does the special serve except to overly sexualize women?"

Who needs a purpose?

Get the popcorn ready.......

NOW cow Kim Gandy was on O'Reilly last night, with NOW's list of the ratings of female performers. Not surprisingly, they rated Ellen and The West Wing very high. Everybody Loves Raymond was rated low (though it wasn't stated as the reason, Patricia Heaton is very pro-life), Friends was rated low, and The Batchelor was rated low. Kim Gandy admitted that she didn't even watch any of the low-rated shows.

"Does it push the envelope? Sure. But everyone knows what the Victoria's Secret fashion show is,"

Yeah. Soft-core porn.

But, aren't the models just doing what they want with their own bodies? If a woman chooses to let a man look at her body, what right is it of NOW's? NOW would have every woman, except the ugly ones, wearing burkas.

So much for pro-choice.

Melissa Cardwell, research director for the Parents Television Council, said she had hoped that the hundreds of protests about last year's special would have dissuaded broadcasters from showing it again.

Hmm, hundreds of protests versus tens of millions of viewers. I bet it took them nearly three tenths of a second to make that call.

I'm way too busy to waste my time on watching this garbage. Then again, that goes for most of what is on television. Let the sheep commence viewing (makes me think of the scene in Animal Farm where the pigs realize that the "box of images" distracts the simpler animals).

Four legs good....two legs better!!!!

This group does understand that the show will entail some of the most gorgeous women in the world wearing next to nothing, right?

That in and of itself says to me, "Love and Happiness". Where's the protest?

Two women's groups and a media watchdog organization on Tuesday asked CBS not to air the Victoria's Secret fashion show, calling it a "soft-core porn infomercial."

And these are the good-looking members...

I think CBS is okay for airing this. It used to be shown on the E channel all the time. When will CBS and other networks show hot young male top supermodels like Marcus Schenkenberg, Travis Fimmel, lean Calvin Klein models, boxers and briefs show. A show that features bare buns, and shows off their lower regions assets or lack thereof. Or maybe use celebrities like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck and for the younger crowd N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys etc. They should show it on another channel during the Superbowl so women can salivate on another tv set.

Or networks should make a show instead of the Man Show called the Woman show and it would attract a lot female talk show and soap viewers during daytime tv.

If I were in charge of a network I would show this sort of thing everyweek and the ratings would go through the roof. They should make an entire cable channel based on hot male supermodels.
