Oh aye... Top Lit Crit Tom Paulin from the BBC2 CULTURE show that nobody bothers to watch because it's so boring [the one with the fat bloke with the glasses, alongside Tony Parsnip and Germaine Bore]... has upset LOTS of USA folk by daring to mumble something interesting about the Israeli situation. Paulin apparently said of the grisly West Bank extreme-Zionist settlers: "They are Nazis, racist. I feel nothing but hatred for them..." Well, fair enough, you might think... but it's created a hell of a stink for Paulin in America - and a prestigious speaking invitation to Harvard has been withdrawn. It's okay to have views on Palestine, only if those views agree with the pro-Israeli establishment, apparently...
Well yah-boo to Harvard, and a slap on the back to Paulin, for speaking his mind. With the tanks grinding into the West Bank yet again, and hideous pronouncents leaking out about the eviction of many thousands of Palestinians from their own homes, it's good to see SOMEBODY unafraid to question the actions of the settlers and the Israeli government.
Perhaps when they find themselves forced to kneel in prayer to Allah in the Islamic Republic of England, they'll change their minds about Israel (a country that not only allows Muslims to worship freely but also sends young Israeli soldiers to protect their "holy shrine").
This makes me want to curse. Forgive me moderators, but these people have their heads stuck so far up their asses that they couldn't smell chit if it hit them in the eye.
Apparantly from their comment, either you are pro-Israeli establishment, or you think that west bank settlers are Nazi racists, deserving of hatred, and deserving to be shot?
Apparantly they agree with Mr. Paulin, because they can't understand why his extreme hateful views would be condemned in the USA.
Speaking to his views, he apparantly has no understanding or empathy about this situation. Jews were allowed to settle all this land, but then in 1948 they were kicked out of it by force. Meanwhile, the Jews of Israel allowed the Palestinians to stay in Israel. Where is the equanimity in his reasoning? There is none. Mr. Paulin just hates Jews, and supports the Palestinians in their quest to get the Jews "off their land". Paulin is a fargin arshole of the first order.
