The Davis Review (MY COMMENTS): Rabid anti-Western and anti-democratic subversives in the film industry are taking it up a notch this season. The hit film 8 Mile will hopefully mark the PEAK of the hip-hop culture wave, as middle class American kids see Detroit and say NO WAY DUDE..."HIP-HOP ROTS!" This film captures the essence of SOCIALIST CULTURE American-style. A columnist for National Review Online points out in the linked article that the movie inadvertently shows whats WRONG with socialist politics in Detroit (one of the most hard-core Left-wing city governments in the United States, and the home of Congressional Komrade Ron "Red" Dellums!). My point is the culture represented by Eminem is EXACTLY WHAT WE GET WHEN WE ALLOW SOCIALISTS AND COMMUNISTS TO HANG ON IN OUR NATION. Sure they're isolated in a few key cities, but the mass media give them an opportunity to wage war on the rest of America.

REAL AMERICANS NEED TO POINT OUT THAT THE HIP-HOP CULTURE, AND CULTURAL SAVAGERY IT REPRESENTS, IS A DIRECT REFLECTION OF an Americanized socialist anti-humanism. It is a culture CREATED BY SOCIALISM IN OUR CITIES. It destroys human lives by turning what could have been nice kids into losers and monsters by corrupting them (with drugs especially) and taking away all hope (except for the fantasy of hitting it big thanks to some commie SOB in Hollywood promoting a new wave of subversive culture).

Next up. Frida. Seems like only pathetic baby boomer ex-hippies are flocking to this Indie flick. They are the only ones with time to waste on a mediocre film about a Mexican Stalinist Lesbian who speaks always in English (go figure). I guess it doesn't matter that Mexico's movie going population could care less about this mediocre artist and icon of the communist party (there was clearly NO attempt at all to make a movie that was "multi-cultural" -- it was about fictionalizing her life for American audiences). The radical left is on a campaign to promote Frida Khalo as an idealized icon of the Mexican immigrant community here. Indeed, Clintonistas were successful in 2001 in sneaking Frida Khalo's image onto a US postage stamp (soon after the communist W.E.B. DuBois appeared as well). The movie itself plays loose with history -- portraying Frida's primary love interest, the former head of the Mexican communist party, as a peace-loving social democrat (in one fictional scene in which he argues with a communist comrade against liquidating people -- yeah, right).

Last up is Michael Caine in The Quiet American, an adaptation of Leftie Graham Greene's anti-Vietnam War propaganda piece. Even the notoriously subversive Miramax Films (the source of so many vulgar flicks attacking the Catholic Church and promoting extreme left-wing themes) had to put this one on hold after 9/11. They are planning on a new release soon -- just in time to propagandize against the future occupation of Iraq.

Dellums was a Congressman from Berkeley/Oakland California. Barbara Lee currently holds his old seat. You're thinking of John Conyers

Well, I wouldn't exactly characterize The Quiet American as an anti-Vietman War book since it was written in 1955. Left-wing or not, if he was writing it to point out that such a conflict would be disastrous, I tend to think he was right.

So we pick the wars we should fight by whether we will win them or not?

THANKS...My mistake for rushing this one. Actually, I was thinking of George W. Crockett, Jr. (the communist lawyer from Detroit who served in Congress from the 13thD during the 1980s). Conyers is out there on the Liberal side, but he's nowhere near as bad as Dellums and Crockett were. Check out Waller, J. Michael, and Joseph Sobran. "Congress's Red Army; Authors Accuse Some Democratic Congressmen of Being Communist Sympathizers." National Review 39 (31 July 1987): 25-28.
