He's the James Rosen on Fox,

Great! I had no idea he wrote for The Weekly Standard. Does this mean we can count James Rosen as one of the right-leaning members of the Fox News Channel?

Thank you for this ping-I loved this article-but then, we knew the plain-speak, the kind of speak you know comes from the heart and is 'doable', was exactly what this nation needed a while back. We aren't surprised at his reception out in crowds of fellow Americans-but I am surprised to learn the WH correspondants are warming up to our President, beginning to value his abilities to communicate. That is really neat.

But my favorite snipit from from this article was Rosen's words:

"dignity gap"

It was said referring to President Bush's remarks regarding Wellstone while campaigning in Minn...how his remarks were far more compassionate and correct than the prior Wellstone orgy memorial.

These two words seem to reflect far more than that one episode in dem political manipulations vs conservative statemanship. This 'dignity gap' reflects what has separated this administration from the prior one...and even reflects the differences in dem and republican senators.

There IS a dignity gap....I hope the dems start crossing over that gap, that they grow up, and start dealing with issues as opposed to their newest effort to break the nation's trust in our President and military regarding the war on terrorism effort. They have no dignity. And Americans are tired of being embarrassed by these venomous, partisan, party above country freaks.

Bush's effectiveness also stemmed from the way he came across as a person. For one thing, he shows respect for his audiences - and for the news media - by starting his events on time or even early. In this, he's the anti-Clinton. He also cuts a neat, muscular figure and projects a sunny disposition. And his speechwriters don't overwrite. They keep his lines short and simple, eschewing soaring Sorensenian sentences in favor of truisms: "It's not the government's money, it's the people's money!"

Cool article.
