Let's not forget that episode of Nightline where Koppel tore his " Casey interview" line of crap to shreds. Woodward is a proven liar and anyone who believes anything he writes is a fool.

Apparently, to protect your sources, you can't describe a hospital room which you've already very publicly claimed that you've entered.

Pure and simple: Woodward is a liar. He lied about a fictional contact that, made up out of whole cloth, he and the red diaper baby Bernstein baby named "Deep Throat." He lied about interviewing CIA Chief Casey on his death bed. And now he's lying about the thoughts of Carl Rove and Candoleeza Rice. Woodward is an inveterate liar ... nothing more, nothing less.

That's what she gets for leaving her tin-foil hat in the bedroom while she relaxes in the den.

Sadly, there is one way Bob Woodward could be right without just guessing. If this book really does contain a passage about Condi's thoughts when she was alone, and she doesn't publically sue him to pauperhood, the President may need to find out who Dr. Rice is talking to. My personal opinion is that Woodward makes everything up for all his books, but Condi's reaction will alleviate the doubt one way or another.

Public officials have little protection against libel.

So what you're saying is that Monica Lewinskey is his source.
I didn't know that Bob smoked cigars.
He does have a vivid imagination, which helps when you're writing fiction.

Condoleezza Deepthroat.
To: VadeRetro
While Casey was either near comatose, or actually in a coma. Guarded by his wife and his SS.
Woodward makes it up...starting with 'Deep Throats'.
He's made a lot of money fictionalizing history.

No way I'd ever believe that Poindexter talked at length to Woodward.
I always find it curious that Woodward's big sources often seem to be mysterious, nameless people, or folks who are dead.

And then these idiot reporters use that as a solid headline! Nazi, huh? He makes it up and there it sits...as though it were truth. Using Miss Cleo to read Karl's mind is sooo low class.
Hang in there, Condi. We love you.

This false attribution of thoughts and opinions to persons who have not shared their opinions or thoughts or told the timelines or the origination of those thoughts and opinions is reprehensible.Couldn't agree more. And, while there are many things I dislike about William Safire, this little game he plays (under the column head of "Reading so-and-so's Mind") has always topped the list. His arrogance is the only thing that beats his ego.

Wasn't there a recent book about Reagan which involved a fictional character having fictional conversations with Reagan? This sounds like much of the same.

It was William Casey, ex-CIA chief.Good memory ... Bob Woodward has an amazing ability to scale hospital walls (Spiderman?) to get death bed confessions ... while family members of the soon to be deceased, who are at the foot of the bed, are unaware of his presence. Not to mention the fact that the dying patient hasn't uttered a coherent word in weeks.

Woodward doesn't understand that he is about as relevant as Mick Jagger.
Get thee to a retirement home, Woodman, and take the rest of the subversive dinosaurs with you.

Woodward is an inveterate liar ... nothing more, nothing less.A common afliction found predominently in the ranks of liberal democ"rats" ... most notable in one Bill Clinton and his wife Hilldabeast.

In a related story, Woodwards editor, Miss Cleo, is out of a job after her "Pyschic Friends" network was shut down by law enforcement.
I guess all those algore voters will have to find somebody else to steal their money.

Ya know, he gives us real journalists a really s&*^%y name. I wonder if there is anything of substance in there that the conservative media can rip to shreds.
Nah. That would require journalistic integrity, which is something he has been lacking for ~30 years...
