I took guitfiddlist's comment to be a reasonable snipe at the nonsensical PC stance that many US Gov't agencies -- particularly Mineta's Transportation Agency -- have taken in the war against terrorism. To be sure, both the US and UK governments seem to be fighting a good fight behind the scenes (as GW said he would). But I think many share the same concern regarding the PC approach to dealing with potential terrorists that in our midst, which has led to policies like the random searches at airports that could not stand up to even the most basic logical review.
