Gore on Letterman: Al Can't Tie a Necktie!
Live TV (CBS) | 11/15/02 | vanity

Anyone see Al Gore walk onto the Letterman stage? The long end of his necktie went about six inches BELOW his belt. It looked VERY bizarre. His interview with Dave is pretty unmemorable. But that tie...scary!

I couldn't watch Gore. I shut the TV off and started reading FR before he came on.

They make special ties for fat people. They are longer that regular ties. Otherwise, it looks like a grown man wearing a kid's tie.

He is very clueless. I'll bet Karenna picked out that tie for him. He can't do anything without a woman telling him what to do and how to do it.

He's on there now, plugging his book about the family. How did I know the dust cover would feature a photo of him with a black baby?

I'll bet Karenna picked out that tie for him.

That would be proof dorkiness is genetic.

Dave is telling algore how funny he is. "I don't ever remember you being this funny, Al!" (algore apparently re-invented yet again)

Methinks algore's comedy writer daughter, Kristen, has been providing him with most of his "funny" material.

It sounds like the real talent in the Gore family is everyone except Al.

After watching Al on Letterman, I can see why women like him more than men. He was really working that whole charming and sensitive thing. I was lurking on the D.U. board, where a woman (at least, I'm assuming it was a woman) raved about how "beautiful" he is.

Al Gore strikes me as rather effeminate. He's certainly not a man's man. Maybe that's because he has three daughters and seems to prefer the company of women. He even needs Naomi Wolf to tell him how to dress. Before anyone flames me, this really isn't meant to be a slam against guys who are particularly masculine. It's fine when you're looking for an interior designer, but not when choosing a war time president. Since 9-11, I think most Americans would agree that it's comforting having a red-blooded cowboy in the White House. I know I am.

First 20/20 and now Letterman? And he says he's doesn't know if he's running in 2004?

Gore on Letterman: Al Can't Tie a Necktie!

Didn't you mean to say "Tipper" can't tie a necktie?
