Northcom sees imminent attack
The new U.S. Northern Command issued a warning on Wednesday that a terrorist attack was imminent.
The classified intelligence notice said the warning was put out in response to the latest audiotape purportedly from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The tape warned the United States and its allies that "you will be killed just as you kill, and will be bombed just as you bomb."
Additionally, the Northcom warning was based on electronic intelligence gathered from around the world indicating that some type of terrorist action would take place.
The warning, as in the past, contained no specific intelligence of where or when an attack would take place. U.S. officials said the latest intelligence states that New York, Washington and Los Angeles could be targets.
The threats are said to be related to the Muslim holy period of Ramadan, which began earlier this month and continues through early December.
A spokesman for Northern Command headquarters in Colorado had no comment.

I don't get it. Didn't the media tell us we shouldn't bomb during Ramadan? Surely they wouldn't commit acts of violence during their holy season?

Surely they wouldn't commit acts of violence during their holy season? I know you were being sarcastic, but for those that do doubt it, these fanatics believe they have Allah's blessing. When you are insane, and believe that the supreme being blesses all that you do, anything is possible. That is why they are dangerous. Not because they are geniuses, or have tons of weapons -- because they are insane and without any conscience.

Means attack at the Mall of America (Minn) or some such. Kill people and kill the Christmas shopping season. A 10 megaton nuke on Mecca would likely ruin the Ramadan season. The Administration should put the word out that our nukes are in play if the diaperheads don't keep their own in line.

Watch the color code system today....it will go up. If the attacks are truly imminent, the warning should go to the highest level. Otherwise, what is it for?

Kill people and kill the Christmas shopping season. You better believe the Islamic scum was drinking in Muhammad & Malvo.
Moose showed how quick the police can track down two stupes trying to give themselves up.
Trained assasins could probably take the Whitehouse and hold Bush for ransom.
Cops will increase patrols but don't get out of their cars unless for coffee and doughnuts.

Makes me wonder if Saddam has not already armed Al Qaeda and they will give the response if Iraq hit.
It is probably a mistake to waste time with the inspections while they systematically move those weapons to other countries for Al Qaeda to use.

Unfortunatley when Gertz puts out a story like this, I have to view it as being credible too, unlike some of the reports Newsmax and Worldnet Daily from time to time that are little too over the top.
If the terrorist threat alert system doesn't get raised soon, its a useless tool.

A 10 megaton nuke on Mecca would likely ruin the Ramadan season.Megatons, megabytes? What's the diff? Getting to be time to drop the big one now. On the unholy city of Mecca. The image of Kabba rock bobbing on a sea of molten glass comes to mind.

When I was in Nam we used to get warnings from Intelligence that there would be an attack on such and such night.
Never once were they correct.

Why if they got out of their car they could actually get shot at. That don't mesh with the plan to put in 20, get a fat pension, then with the contacts you've made move laterally to a lard ass government job of some kind.
