LONDON (AP) - President Bush makes a strong showing in a new book of quotations released Thursday. "Bushisms" in the second edition of the "Oxford Dictionary of Phrase, Saying and Quotation," include the president's declaration: "We are ready for any unforeseen event which may or may not happen."
The other "Bushisms" include the president's words of wisdom at the 2001 Yale University commencement: "To those of you who received honors, awards and distinctions, I say well done. And to the 'C' students, I say you, too, can be president of the United States."
The thematically arranged dictionary includes quotations, colloquialisms and memorable turns of phrase on more than 350 topics.
Other new entries in this edition also include the "Star Trek" phrase, "It's life, Jim, but not as we know it," and the expressions "licensed to kill," "Generation X" and "It girl."

I have a friend who made a great quote that deserves to be in Bartlets. She was talking about Babe Ruth (for some reason) and said, "If he wasn't dead, would he still be alive?". I just stared back at her....I had nothing to say.

"If he wasn't dead, would he still be alive?". That reminds me of a question that Rummy was asked today at a press conference. "Is Bin Laden alive or dead, and if he's alive, does that mean that we're losing the war?" Rummy smiled and said, "Yes, Bin Laden is alive or dead." With that he closed his notebook and walked away.
Gotta love that Rummy.
