No doubt in a productive, workforce desired major.

If not, there is always graduate school, then a social service/government job.

She's an absolute MORON. I'll gladly take custody of this little child. Man alive...

Well, the feminists have officially won that campus. Any hint of maternal instinct has been totally wiped out of the entire sorority.

IMHO, the seeds of irresponsibility are sown long before young adults enter college.
It is not up to a University to instill responsible child-rearing.

Sad to say they will probably leave this child with the no good mom and then wonder why the kid turns out bad (if it makes it to older age).

Sounds like an education major. She will be in charge of watching other people's kids someday.

an education major, or a psych major. I knew a few bubblehead chicks like that in college.

Perhaps she'll land a job with Florida's Child Protective Services.
I seem to recall they're pretty good at losing track of children as well.

Yep, just got the scoop from the student rag: "The Digital Collegian"

Woman allegedlyleaves toddler
The graduate student was charged with endangering her child.

By Adam Fabian email
Collegian Staff Writer

A State College woman was charged with recklessly endangering another person yesterday after she left her young child home alone without supervision early Sunday morning, a criminal complaint said. The woman, 23-year-old Amanda Guzman (graduate-sociology), was sent a summons by mail.

The 18-month-old child was found screaming loudly in the hallway of Guzman's Park Crest Terrace apartment, 1400 Martin St., by a neighbor at about 3 a.m. The neighbor watched the child for about an hour until Guzman arrived home.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18 at the Centre County Court House in Bellefonte.

According to police documents,

the following happened during the early morning hours Sunday:

Guzman said she left her child with sorority members and went to a party. The document did not list the name of the sorority, and police were unable to comment about the case. When the sorority members arrived at the party, Guzman asked the women if they had locked the door to her apartment.

Guzman said she believed her child would be safe, despite being left alone, if the door to the apartment was locked.

One of Guzman's friends called her to tell her the neighbor had the child and she should return home immediately.

Guzman dropped off several friends at other locations before returning home.

She could not be reached for comment.

It's too bad that we can't forcibly sterilize women like this who show themselves incapable of mothering.

You know, I first thought that 22 was just slightly too old for a "normal" college student, but it fit with an assumption that perhaps she took some "time-off" for "maternity leave".

But now it turns out she's a GRADUATE student!?!

What kind of "graduate" student is still running around in sororities and fraternity parties???

Good grief, when I was in grad school, there was a certain "snobbery" among grad students regarding undergrads. Kinda the same that high-school students sometimes have about hanging out with junior high 'children".

This floozie is a real loser. And a "sociology" major, no less!

It figgers!

Isn't it great carpenters, plumbers, waitresses are taxed so that they can subsidize human dolts like Frau Guzeman?

I see a bright future for her, first in a Govy job, then a run for local office then high state and/or a federal office, making laws, spending billions.

The kind that has a proven record of running around and being irresponsible already. Note: She is 23, no mention of a husband, and she has an 18 month old. So, she has clearly been out partying and "whatever" at 3am before. This kid must really be cramping her style.

Note: She is 23,

A discrepancy in reporting.
AP says 22.
The student paper says 23.

Authorities said she will be sent a summons in the mail.

Send her a summons in the mail?! How about arrest her, sterilize her, and put the child in a foster home! I think that's a good start.
