Liberal Truth
13Nov02

Posted on 11/13/2002 5:06:20 PM PST by pgobrien

from a thread on DU concerning Judicial appointments....

30. Twenty More years of Conservative Judges...the Supreme is next.

These Judges are really where the power to influence the nation resides. Judges who arent free to think for themselves and are bound to a rigid document will usher the dark ages back into the country.

This really was our Alamo. We can appoint whoever we want to run the minority or the DNC or anything else...without having any type of hold on the Judical branch of government...it is all window dressing.

This has been the worst two years of my life...and it is only gonna get worse.

Now the Repukes are floating Condoleeza Rice VP rumors around. I know they are doing it to stop Hillary in her tracks. I fear it is a good move. As long as Rice is around Shrub and his Hitler youth will always have a trump card to Hillary.

This sucks.

The left implodes from a much overdo 'Reality Check'. Liberal Truth gets the message. Democratic Underground is better than the Simpsons for entertainment....sadly no links to their site allowed.

Good to have a liberal's actual opinion of the US Constitution on record.

I have watched that site more since last Tuesday than I ever had. There is much wailing and gnashing of the teeth.

Some of them have even been talking about leaving the country and\or killing themselves. I have thought about opening an account just to encourage them. It really is funny.

Absolutely amazing!

You know, perhaps we should appoint some 'Activist' Judges who will 'create laws' to lock these people up before the hurt themselves.

Sometimes the best way to make a change is to strictly enforce the exact opposite of what you desire. If they do not respect the Constitution, then so be it.

Let the games begin.

'Free to Think' like THEY do....the unwritten rule.
I just want our judges to think more and interpret less.

And that is reason alone for the admin moderator to NOT remove this thread. A record must be kept!

I speculate that total depression versus total happiness across the US population may be a zero sum game. My evidence is that every time I read something like this post I feel my satisfaction level getting a nice boost.

I've been feeling that pain for decades. And despite this election I continue to do so. (Check out my profile to see why.)

Implodes? If only they would implode instead of exploding their putrifaction over the nation!

The liberal presstitutes are starting their campaign of twist, spin, obfuscate, lie, and characterize the opposition, all in bankrupt servitude to the despotic democrat party. Why? Because they see their power dwindling before the changing face of American beliefs and values. No, they’re not resorting to the usual manipulative tactics because of principles; they intend to wage all-out war because their power is slipping, and it’s slipping because they don’t reflect the current values of the American people. Let me illustrate.

Anna Quindlen is a contributing journalist to Newsweek magazine, in the ‘Last Word’ column. In the November 18, 2002 edition, she proudly confesses that she lives in “the people’s republic of the Upper West Side, a Manhattan neighborhood so historically liberal …” yada yada yada. Okay, she’s an avowed liberal. So what does she believe?

The sixth paragraph of her column reveals her perspective:

The Republican Party’s historical hostility to the rights of women and the welfare of immigrants, its favoritism toward big business and big contributors, Richard Nixon’s unwavering willingness to trade integrity for victory and Ronald Reagan’s cheerful indifference to the disenfranchised: all conspire to leave liberals nowhere to go.

Then in the next paragraph, she asserts,

I can tell you what the Republican leaders care about. With this election result, they will try to give estate-tax relief to the wealthy, to despoil the Alaskan wilderness by drilling for oil and to load the federal bench with judges who approve of the death penalty and are hostile to abortion.

Mercy! Such a litany, but of what? Ms Quindlen lives in the past (Nixon?), refusing to apply the same standards she asserts over Nixon’s perfidy to expose her beloved democrat party of clintonized shills (whom any moderate or conservative would admit are lacking integrity by defending arguably the most degenerate president to ever soil the Oval Office sinks). Would any half-way informed citizen accept that the democrat party is not courting big contributors? Have we forgotten Loral, the millions contributed to the Clinton re-election efforts and the exchange of extremely favorable and likely treasonous technology transfers for that graft? As to welfare for immigrants, is there a more innocent immigrant than the class of prenatal infants being sheltered in their mothers’ wombs?… Didn’t the Republican House recently write a bill that passed the Senate and was signed into law by the Republican President extending public assistance to prenatals? That’s three ‘byrds’, er birds with one shot, women’s rights, immigrant mothers, and prenatal infants!

The despotic Democrats succeeded in the past to empwoer their manipulative politics by framing the arguments and characterizing the opposition in the negative. What this liberal beast seeks to do is instigate the same tactic using outdated perspectives and outright lies. She can tell us what Republican leaders care about?… Let’s take her points one-by-one: I’m not wealthy (far from it) but I’ve inherited a piece of land from my father’s estate, so the estate tax relief will help me to keep that property as family legacy, and there are thousands of family businesses which will be dissolved over estate tax if reform doesn’t come soon; oil independence, though practically impossible, should be a major goal of every administration, to remove the economic blackmail OPEC thugs now have, additionally, the drilling to be done in Alaskan wilderness will be far more controlled and thus cleaner by far than historically done (perhaps we should give this stuck-in-the-past liberal a break since she is unlikely to understand current technology given her preoccupation with living on past hatreds); it would be difficult to find a voter in the DC metro area who would not want Malvo and Mohammed put to death for gunning down innocent civilians; abortion, especially ALL abortions of infants reaching the sixth month of gestational age, kills an individual human being, thus a woman’s ‘right to hire an abortionist’ is equivalent to a right to hire a serial killer to assault and murder an unborn individual human being … kind of like having the right to hire a Mohammed or a Malvo, except the serial killer in an abortion mill has a degree and assaults a sequestered human being on life support, a trapped victim.

Why do liberal blind-mice continue to spew such vitriol? They see their democrat party losing power. That loss of power is due to the despotic democrat party falling out of touch with the values and goals of American voters. And we haven’t even touched on homeland defense, or the war against terrorism, or the prevention of megalomaniacs acquiring weapons of mass destruction, like nukes, because of postponeNIKS and appeaseNIKS obstructing moves to address our safety, all current democrat ‘programs’ designed to thwart the elected president of 2000 from succeeding as a leader!

"They have not learned honesty, ethics, morality or honor..."

And, sadly, they won't. An entire generation, lost...

I don't view the future quite so bleak as you. Certainly, the left still has its power base. But it is eroding underneath their feet. The mainstream media, for example, becomes less influential every day.

But, more than anything, it will be a generational thing. It is a perfectly natural phenomenon for one generation to revolt against the generation that bore them. By all accounts, this generation of young people is more conservative -- politically, culturally and socially -- than their immediate elders.

The sixties were a phase, not a movement...

Eala, from your profile page:
But we must never forget that the Left considers that it is not engaged in a spirited discussion conducted under gentlemenly rules; it is engaged in an all-out, no-holds-barred, winner-take-all war. And I see no plan for us to win such a war. I don't even see a plan that indicates that there might be such a war, and that is cause for grave concern because that is certain defeat.
And we have Clint Lott to lead us in the Senate. Oh, my.
Give me Jimmy Carter! Lott is no better. He is an apeaser. We need new leadership in the Congress!!
End of screed.

God Bless America. God Help America.

The "environmental movement" is an object example of the lie that is liberalism.

When every objection is met, they still object. It's not about "protecting the environment", it's about control.
