Forget Congress, a sluggish economy and terorrism. President Bartlet has bigger headaches. Namely, Aaron Buerge.
ABC's The Bachelor after nipping at Barlet's wingtips all season, finally upended NBC's The West Wing in the TV week ended Sunday.
The marriage minded reality series, featuring the photogenic Buerge and his quest for an equally photogenic bride, attracted a season high 16.3 million viewers for last Wednesday's outing, landing the show in lucky 13th place.

I guess this means "The Amazing Race" is coming in third? I love that show. Off topic, what happened last week? I missed. Who was eliminated? (

Is it good? Maybe I will give it a try between the periods when the Barchelor series isn't on.

I heard that the ww is worried... The cost to produce this show is huge (high salaries) and the ratings keep dropping... Word is that there is a distinct possibility that due to this, that the west wing may not be renewed.
We can only hope !!!

It wasn't on last week. It was pre-empted by the Country Music Awards. Can't wait to see it tonight though. I'm hoping that Aaron and Arianne get the boot. I can't stand them.

I think it's great. Basically, they start with a certain number of teams (this season it was 12), and each week, the last team to check in at the pit stop is eliminated. So, your fate is entirely in your own hands. They throw in a few villains for you to hate, as well as some good folks for you to root for.

I don't know if this is good or bad!
What a dilemma this is!

The Bachelor is undeinably a guilty pleasure, nothing else accounts for the huge ratings..

Rambette? She's tolerable, IMHO. The one I can't stand is Flo. She whines way too much, and acts like Zach should be so lucky to be paired up with her.
Was very happy to see Aaron and Arianne go last night. They deserved it.

I probably will watch Amazing Race when they premiere 'The Bachelorette' in January.
I don't think the groups of men will fight as much as the ladies and right now they get a huge audience to 'check out the babes' on the male side while the women love to watch the catty things that the females on the show say and do.
The whole office is talking out that show on Thursday mornings.

The bachelor and the West (lefty fantasy crap) Wing come on at the perfect time to hit the gym. TV shows are so devoid of new ideas or original thought that except for news shows and the Simpsons I avoid it whenever the is anything else to do.

Is this what happens when the Republicans control the country?? It is interesting that one week after the Democrats were smashed at the polls, the Bachelor overtakes the West Wing.
Maybe people are getting of all liberals, whether on TV or not, and are voting with their remotes.
